Best bread I’ve tasted in the US. I’m French and I’ve tasted their baguette at Pono, before leaving I came back to the bakery to get the baguette to have when I wake up, made me feel like I was at home again.
Also got their eggs sandwiches and brioche pudding it was delicious. Not too sweet, very soft!

Excellent rosemary sourdough and obviously a local favorite. There’s nowhere to sit down. You can watch employees making the bread. Some gift options and we bought whipped butter and sour cream to put on our bread. Minimalist location with excellent food at a decent price.

First time. Popped in for a bagel 10am. All out. Got a pretzel. Really nice! Fresh, chewy without breaking teeth. Salted just enough. Would definitely come back.

That is some DAMN DELICIOUS BREAD right there. Who cares that this is basically just a sales counter in a commercial bakery with nowhere to sit, or that the options are a little confusing, or that the days/hours are a little odd. They could do whatever they want, just take my money and give me that bread. I’m going to be dreaming about it for months. Quality coffee for drip coffee too.

I expected it to be solid, and it still exceeded those expectations by a bit.

Came on a Sunday morning to pick up for a group. We got brioche, biscuits, a baguette, bread pudding, butter cookies, and a coffee cake. Also got some butter and jam as sides. I got there at 8:07 and there was already a line

The baguette, brioche, and coffee cake were top notch. Get them and eat them fresh. It just starts your day right. The bread pudding is good, but the chocolate chips on top get a wee bit burnt, so they’re a little bitter. Not bad, but be ready for it. The cookies are also great, but not quite breakfast food.

On top of all that great experience, it was cheaper than you’d expect – we got so the stuff above for maybe $20ish.

Would absolutely go again.

I visited Grover Beach from Los Angeles and stumbled upon this cute local bakery—Grover Beach Sourdough. I’m always on the lookout for good bakeries and coffee when I travel, and this place didn’t disappoint!

They offer small-sized sourdough loaves, which is perfect if you want to try different flavors. I loved that they also had a 3 for $10 deal, so I picked up traditional, garlic, and cheddar. I shared the garlic and cheddar with friends, and they really enjoyed them. I tried the traditional one myself—it was chewy but not too hard. The sour flavor really whets your appetite. I could even taste a subtle hint of honey in every bite!

Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and appreciate quality bread.

Destination sourdough bakery for breakfast and bread. Is it staying open? Your biggest worry is missing out on a chance to try it! Don’t delay.

Great little bakery! Only about half of the sea salt & rosemary sourdough mini-loaf made it home. It was warm and I was walking. I couldn’t help my self. Delicious. Highly recommend.

Ordered the $13 tuna sandwich with soup and salad. Salad fresh greens with vinigrette cauliflower curry soup. Soup was creamy and blended had a savory curry and chicken flavor. Tuna sandwich was filling. Bread was thick soft and fresh. Ordered butter cookies, small cheddar loaf, traditional sourdough crisps and bread pudding to go. Very good meal. Delicious treats I took home enjoyed later in the day

Grover Beach Sourdough crafts exceptional bagels that showcase their local-legacy charm. True to their roots, this Central Coast gem sticks to a “this is our way” approach, which adds to their unique character. Their fresh bagels are a standout—crisp, chewy, and full of flavor. However, the breakfast sandwich with linguica didn’t impress. The egg lacked seasoning, and the linguica felt like an odd choice for a breakfast sandwich, not quite matching my taste. While their commitment to tradition is admirable, the breakfast sandwich wasn’t my favorite. Still, Grover Beach Sourdough is worth a visit for their top-notch bagels and authentic Central Coast vibe!
