I visited a restaurant recently that really left a positive impression on me. The highlight for me was their amazing collection of keychains—they had this beautiful wall completely adorned with them, and as a keychain collector, I found it absolutely mesmerizing. The food was also delightful, and what was really special was how we stumbled upon this place by chance.

The server who attended to us was exceptionally friendly. We struck up a pleasant conversation, and he offered me a wonderful deal. I had mentioned that I was craving pancakes, but unfortunately, they weren’t on the menu. Instead, he suggested trying their “what the fries” dish, and I have to say, it was incredibly delicious!

While everything else we ordered was tasty, I did encounter a little hiccup with my meal. I had requested non-garlic food, but it came with onions instead. I felt bad asking for an exchange, but the staff were very understanding and graciously accommodated my request. Their kindness made a real difference in the experience.

Overall, our brunch was fantastic, and the value was quite good, too. For the four of us, the bill came to only a hundred dollars, which felt very reasonable for the amount and quality of food we enjoyed. Plus, we even got a little treat, which was a lovely bonus. Everyone at the restaurant was so warm and welcoming, making our visit truly enjoyable. I left feeling grateful for such a wonderful experience.

It is more suited for a snack or a quick bite instead of a dinner.

– Bruschetta: we tried 4 flavors; 1) Warm artichoke spread: it was ok. 2) Sweet n’ spicy pepper jam & goat cheese: it was our favorite. 3) Prosciutto di parma, fig, mascarpone: it was bad! Had zero taste, I doubt that it had figs. 4) Ricotta, dates, and pistachios: meh, it was too bland.
– Crispy Cauliflower: they served a whole head of cauliflower. It wasn’t crispy and the sauce wasn’t distributed.
– Chef’s charcuterie board: it was the best part of the meal! The peppers were good.
– West coaster panini: it was OK but more of a lunch meal instead of dinner

My group ordered a bunch of things to share.

Overall, the charcuteries boards were tasty! They were a tad heavy on the bread but it was also delicious.

The dessert with various dipping sauces was a highlight for us.

The staff were very accommodating with requests for sides or extras of various items.

The only con we all noticed was the music got quite loud after about 7/8PM to the point we had to kind of yell to hear each other. The vibe of the restaurant overall is very cozy and casual so that is a plus. The music volume took away from that just a tad.

Overall, would definitely come back here. Tasty food, great service, and cozy!

Came for a little girls night with a friend. We shared a bottle of wine and a charcuterie and it was perfect. We sat on the patio and had a good time. The service was super quick and our server Parker was amazing 🙂

We visited Postino at 7 p.m. on a Saturday night for a triple birthday celebration. The ambiance is inviting, with a menu focused on charcuterie, bruschetta, paninis, and salads.

While we had high hopes, the evening had several avoidable issues. Our reserved table wasn’t ready, and we were seated awkwardly with two tables of different sizes against a wine rack, making one guest uneasy due to proximity to customers and servers grabbing bottles. Despite ample space elsewhere, the placement wasn’t suited to our celebration.

Our server, though kind, was disorganized. Drinks and water refills took notably long, and two food issues arose: one overly greasy panini and an incomplete bruschetta. When we pointed out the missing protein, the server insisted it was correct until we pressed further. No manager checked in, despite multiple issues—disappointing given our special occasion.

Additionally, our server wasn’t familiar with the menu; when we asked for insight, she simply pointed to items. There was also a mix up with payment that resulted in a voided transaction. And lastly, the evening ended on an awkward note when we overheard her talking about our group as we left.

While the drinks and appetizers were tasty, the overall experience was a letdown. We expected more from what could have been a truly special night.

We went on a Friday at 4pm hoping for seats at the bar. It was packed so we had to get a table in the bar area. Service was attentive and helpful. We ate: charcuterie tray, 4-flavor bruschetta, meatballs with goat cheese, and took a panini To Go. All the foods were fantastic and the $6 happy hour wines did not disappoint

I have only been once to this restaurant and food and drinks were very good. I tried to go again this past week for HH but now you have to pay to park in the attached parking garage. I don’t think this is fair on the business. I realize this isn’t their rule. When I can go to so many other restaurants on south Lamar and park for free why bother paying to park here. Even Lamar union and multi level parking further down South Lamar by Fig restaurant don’t charge to park.

We had a great happy hour here! We love Postino Boulder and were looking forward to trying the Austin location. Great drinks (& prices!) and delicious bites… the meatballs were especially delish! Very friendly service (from Tony, i believe?) in the lounge area last Saturday. Highly recommend

postinos is the best, favorite spot in austin. the food is great, big fan of the mushroom fondue, the salmon board, and frankly anything on the bruschetta board. Tony was my bartender this evening and was phenomenal. As always, i’ll be back.
