I went here with some friends after this place was recommended to me. It’s very unassuming from the outside and looks kind of sketchy. But once you step inside, you are greeted warmly by the staff in you immediately see an entire wall filled with all the awards they have won. It’s a very casual place and not fancy at all. But the food and the service are five stars! I can’t say enough good things about how lovely the staff was. They all work together and we’re constantly checking on us to ensure that we had everything we needed. We got a bunch of dishes and shared them and they were all delicious! I highly recommend getting a mango lassito help with the spiciness of the food. My friends were drinking so much water!

As a native Indian (not to be confused with native American) I found this spot to be hands-down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve had in Los Angeles. I’ve eaten The flavors are unique to the Kerala region. I ordered medium spice level and found it to be balanced and delicious. I highly recommend the Thalassery mutton biryani specialty rice dish that comes in a clay pot, as well as the Malabari coconut roast beef with Appam rice bread.

Easily amongst the best Indian food I’ve had in all of the US. The food was bold and authentic and hasn’t been “flavored down” at all. What makes Navaa and Mayura stand apart is not just their food but their amazing service. The owners take time to interact with you, despite the entire restaurant being full, and makes you feel welcome.
Adding this to my top places to eat in the US!

Very delicious Kerala (region of southern India) style food with unique dishes you won’t see in many other Indian restaurants. Tastes authentic, flavorful, fresh, and like the real deal. Very friendly staff including Ardha, who give great recommendations and guide you through the menu. Food was fairly quick too. Nice modern ambiance inside. Owned by the same people from next door Mayura. Beef Roast, Appam, Porotta were all super tasty. Highly recommended.

I had lunch with my husband here and the food was very good. We got to know that they are a child restaurant of Mayura restaurant which is next door. That is awesome. The only reason that I deducted 1 star was because I saw they constantly share dishes between Navaa and Mayura without having a covering/lid. I saw my coffee traveling from Mayura which passed 2 doors without a lid and am very particular about hygiene in my food specially! Also they need to still work on completing the setup in the restroom. They are still new so am sure that our feedback will definitely help them. Five stars to the food and very friendly staff. Definitely going back for the fish wrapped in banana leaf. It was delicious with the tangy flavors and right amount of spice! Do give them a try next time you are in Culver City or visiting the Isckon temple.

Had the garlic naan, chicken biryani, fish thali, rose shake and fresh lime soda, sweet. Everything was hot fresh and delicious . We’ll be coming back for sure!

Love beef and chicken roast , thalassery biryani and Parotta. Filter coffee felt more like a good instant coffee than a filter coffee. Coffee could improve.

Authentic food that’s delicious and not watered down. I had the chicken biryani which was fantastic!! The caramelized onions were crispy, the whole spices infused the rice with so much flavor (careful not to bite into them). Easily the best Indian food I’ve had in LA and I’ve eaten at practically every Indian restaurant in LA. Oh, and the staff was nice too. Unassuming, homey atmosphere. Definitely come here hungry and for the food!!!

Absolutely DIVINE ~ impeccably prepared food, you can feel the love & utter care taken to prepare traditional South Indian Kerala Food! It is so fragrant & fresh & feels soo good in your body & your Soul! My Godmother was from Kerala & I grew up in South Africa where we have a huge Indian population & therefore really good Indian food – living in this country for 19 years I really struggled finding food on par with that. This is the first time I have found Indian food that is that good. It pretty much moved me to tears. Also, the people working here are so filled with kindness & you feel so taken care of in every way coming to eat here! It is like a little sanctuary of sublime deliciousness. Please give this place a try. It will become one of your favorite places to come to in Los Angeles as it has now for us.
