We went today and everything was absolutely on point. We ordered white rice with beans, pork chops, and a side of mofongo — and let me tell you, the mofongo is a must-have. Hands down the best in the area.
The food was delicious, well-seasoned, and truly hit the spot. I was really craving an authentic Puerto Rican plate, and Ruta Taina completely satisfied that homesick craving. It felt like a taste of home.
Customer service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. You can tell they care about both the food and the people they serve.

What a place. The food was delicious, the service was 10000 out of 10 , and the atmosphere was amazing. Couldn’t have asked for more. My family loved every meal. The abichuelas que iso Victoria estaban deliciosa, Elaine super tentative, and Gerardo thank you so much for your service and how much you taught us of the good Puerto Rican food. Upon entering the establishment, we found it very clean and comfortable. We were immediately greeted by a server who presented us with a savory dish of seasoned house-made plantain chips. Our server recommended the dish pictured below, and my oh my, was it delicious! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

This was my second time here and the experience was excellent especially for Christmas eve. I did expect to wait because of the pre holidays but it was worth the wait. I ordered the chicken with garlic sauce and arroz con gandules with alcapurria and it was solid of (+3 seperate orders). The garlic sauce was creamy and savory, the rice was perfect in texture and taste! The alcapurria it came from my mother.

I recently visited RUTA TAINA Restaurant in St. Cloud, FL, and had a great experience overall. I tried the chicharrón de pollo with rice, beans, and sweet plantains, and also ordered a beef empanada as an appetizer. To drink, I had jugo de parcha (passion fruit juice), which was refreshing and delicious.
The food was authentic and full of flavor, definitely giving off a home-cooked vibe. While the service was slower than I would have liked due to how busy the restaurant was, the quality of the food made up for it. I’m looking forward to trying more items on their menu and will definitely be coming back!

Excellent service, food, atmosphere! Our waitress Kyla was extremely sweet! The chips were amazing, barely got a pic before it was devoured! The pork was Juicy and the onions is a great match with the delicious mofongo! Hubby had the shrimp with garlic sauce, which he loved! The coconut Flan was so amazing! We each had a flavored freshly squized lemonade which was so refreshing. Can’t wait for our next visit. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
