Traveler’s Rest isn’t hurting for pizza places, but this one may actually be my favorite. The pizzas are innovative and feature a nice combination of fresh ingredients making for nice culinary experience. They have the classics, but tey one of the more interesting things. I’m also now a big fan of their whipped ricotta that also features berries, honey, and a little heat. Overall, a really enjoyable experience!

In the heart of TR, adjacent to the scenic Swamp Rabbit Trail, sits a welcoming and friendly wood fired pizza joint. Coastal Crust is a laid back restaurant delivering perfectly cooked and most flavorful pizzas. Our waitress, Brandi, was helpful and eager for us to find the right delightful pizza. We went with the unconventional Fig & Prosciutto and added bacon. Delicious. The crust had the perfect bite and chew. The topping were balanced in the quantities, allowing the ensemble to work together to deliver a delightful meal. Along with a couple ciders, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. To cap it off, we got the chocolate chip cookie and gelato. Yum!

We have been here several times for supper. This time we rode our bikes as it’s right off the Swamp Rabbit Trail and we ate lunch. It is also right next to Community Tap, so you can place an order while having a drink and it will be brought to your table.
Each time we have eaten here, the pizza has been delicious. The seating is a bit limited, so not the best for groups of 8+. We usually get the fig and prosciutto and have greatly enjoyed it. It can be hot if you are sitting near the oven area.

The meatball appetizer is amazing. The wines are also great. My kids had the pepperoni pizza and they gave it a 8/10. My wife had the arugula salad with chicken and she loved it as well. Great atmosphere

We ordered a pizza from here and sat at the brewery next door as listened to live music. The pizza is very much Neapolitan style (which I prefer) and was cooked perfectly in a large pizza oven. The indoor restaurant is small and from what I could gather from walking by on a weekend, it gets PACKED. It located right on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and there is also seating outside.

First, overall we like Coastal Crust. Have ordered for takeout several times before with fine results. Tonight was disappointing though. Our food was not ready when advertised. Not a major issue since they were busy. But any time a pizza is part if the order, suggest you add another 10 mins to the 20 min estimate. 2nd, there is nowhere for takeout order customers to wait when their order is overdue. Fortunately, some tables were empty so I just took it upon myself to sit down even though I sat at a table clearly set for in person customers. 3rd, while our linguine pesto tasted great, the shrimp mixed in had not been shelled. I certainly don’t mind shelling shrimp if it’s on the side. But these shrimp were advertised as being part of the linguine sauce. They were certainly nixed in. Please pre-shell the shrimp!!!!

Coastal Crust in Travelers Rest is an absolute gem! The Burrata Bruschetta is amazing—truly addictive—and the focaccia bread is the perfect complement to it. Their pizza is also excellent, and if you’re not a fan of the slightly charred crust, just ask for the “blonde” version. Perfect every time!
Brandy was our server, and she was fantastic. Her knowledge of the menu made it so easy to choose, especially when we weren’t sure what to order. We enjoyed it so much that we went twice in a row! I’m already looking forward to coming back for dinner to try their pasta. Their customer service is what you are looking for.

Love this pizza spot in TR! Prices are reasonable and the food is AMAZING!
There was a bit of a wait for a table last time I came in but the hostess, Anika was super helpful, sweet, and accommodating and made the time fly by.

So I stroll up to Coastal Crust, right? Gorgeous setup, smells like heaven just signed a lease next door. I grab a slice of pepperoni, pop the cap on a Peach Joe Tea — classy move, by the way — and I’m thinking, okay, let’s see if this South Carolina pie can hang with the big dogs.
First bite: BOOM. Flavor explosion. Crust has that perfect crunch-to-chew ratio — the kind that makes your jaw go, “oh yeah, we’re eating real pizza tonight.” Sauce? Tangy. Cheese? Melty perfection. Pepperoni? Curled up like little meat chalices catching grease straight from the gods.
And that peach tea? Palate cleanser of champions. I’m not saying it transported me, but I swear I heard Sinatra singing somewhere in the distance.
Score? I gotta go 8.9 — because no pizza’s perfect, but this one flirted with it hard. Travelers Rest? More like Travelers Blessed.

I have no idea why this place is only a 4.1 star. The pizza was incredible. The dough and pepperoni were excellent quality & perfectly cooked. Super nice people too
