⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Swagat – Where India Meets Miami (MiMo District)

Swagat is such a clever blend of cultures — more Miami-cool than Bollywood-drama, but in a way that totally works. Don’t go in expecting saris and sitars; this spot leans contemporary, clean, and stylish, with that unmistakable MiMo vibe humming in the background. And the hand-painted Indian façade out front? Loved it. A little slice of Delhi splashed onto Biscayne Boulevard.

The food was seriously impressive.
We went for the lamb rogan josh, ordered vindaloo hot — and they delivered exactly that: proper Indian spicy, no Americanised shortcuts. Deep flavour, rich sauce, slow-cooked tenderness… the whole deal. The chicken tandoor was a standout too — melt-in-the-mouth, a touch of tikka running through it, and absolutely on the money. The basmati rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked.

The cheese & chilli naan… let’s just say it was more Miami pizza energy than Indian tradition — but it was still decent and fun to try.

Prices run a little high, but that’s par for the course with good Asian food in the US, and the quality genuinely backed it up. Service was friendly, relaxed, and very Miami in the best way.

Overall: a fresh, modern Indian dining experience that leans Miami more than Mumbai — and pulls it off beautifully.

We had a wonderful lunch at Swagat Indian Restaurant and were genuinely impressed. It’s a newly opened spot, and they’re already doing a fantastic job.
We tried both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and everything was excellent. The paneer chilli, paneer tadka, and paneer makhani were especially outstanding easily better than what we’ve had at many other Indian restaurants. The flavors were rich, well balanced, and clearly made with care.
You can tell they’re focused on quality. We left very satisfied and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend supporting this new restaurant!

We just came here for my birthday and the food is lovely and flavourful. We had an appetiser made of puffed rice that was delicious! Then we ordered 3 mains (and took half of it to go)
I like that they make things from scratch. For example, they puff their rice for the dush i mentioned above. Unfortunately, they did not have desserts today but I left satisfied.

One thing to take into account is that they do not sell alcoholic drinks just yet, just fyi in case someone is in the mood to drink a glass of wine.

The host is very nice and attentive.

We’ll be back!

We discovered this place thanks to Resy. The service was amazing. The parking situation is very simple: street parking in front and in the back of the street. It’s very easy to find a place to park. The food was on point. We recommend the chef experience. We did the non-vegetarian one, and it was amazing. Food portions are very generous, so just a heads up: some plates are mostly to share if you are not that hungry. Prices are very reasonable for being in Miami. Five stars, well deserved.

We had a good dining experience here. Went there for a Saturday lunch. We ordered lamb rogan josh, goat bhuna, Amritsari chole garlic naan and masala chai. The taste, texture, temperature, fragrance, spice everything was on point. Closest to authentic chai I have had in Miami.

Had Dal Makhani which was different than usual but velvety, had a smoky flavour but was great. Malai Kofta was really good and creamy and one of the best ones around Miami. Garlic naan was good and lacchha paratha was my favorite. Mango Lassi was a little too sweet and different than usual but definitely can give it a try.

My co worker and I went during lunch, they have a great lunch special which we both ordered. He ordered butter chicken and I ordered the swagat chicken. It comes with a side of rice and butter naan. I’ve only had Indian food once and wasn’t that great but these dishes were beyond incredible, full of flavor. I will definitely be back!!
Resturant was quiet and slow but the lady I’m assuming owner was very sweet and attentive.
Only bad thing I have to say ….$5 for 4 small triangle pieces of naan seems like a lot but I’m not sure if that’s normal.
Anyways. The naan was delicious!!

I recently visited Swagat and honestly left so impressed. The menu had so many great options, and our host went above and beyond to explain dishes and offer suggestions, which I really appreciated. I decided to go with Chef Abi’s tasting menu, and wow… every single course was perfect. The flavors were so well balanced, the presentation was beautiful, and it felt like such a thoughtful dining experience. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, making it the perfect place to just sit back and enjoy the meal. I can confidently say this was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had, and I’m already counting down the days until I can go back!

Swagat Miami is one of those spots that makes you feel at home while serving seriously flavorful Indian food. The chicken tikka was tender and packed with spice in all the right ways, while the lamb curry had a richness that kept me going back for more. I loved starting with pani puri…crisp, tangy, and fun to eat. The palak paneer balanced everything out with that comforting, creamy spinach and cheese combo. And if you’ve got a sweet tooth, don’t miss the rasmalai…light, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the meal. Swagat is the kind of place you’ll want to visit again, whether for a casual dinner or to impress friends with authentic flavors.

This is the best indian food in Miami!
