I had the Asado de Puerco. Their version has bones. I know the version with bones is supposed to have more flavor, but I would probably not order it again. Everything else was delicious. The service was great.

What a wonderful family restaurant. Next time I’m in town I’ll be back. Loved the Barbacoa tacos with homemade corn tortillas.

Mexican restuarant across the street from the beautiful Wharton County Courthouse. Had juevos rancheros with coffee. Very tastey and reasonably priced, total was $10 and I will be back. However the interior is very run down, particularly the restroom.

Big Dave’s Tactical & Survival
Not the best Mexican food … actually more Tex Mex heavy on the Tex … if you have read our reviews before you know the big thing David goes by is chips & salsa – the chips were very hard and salsa more like hot ketchup. Our server did bring hotter stuff out in squeeze bottles. The green was pretty good. The red made the salsa better. Our dinner was just average.

It’s a small place on the square. It was nice and clean wasn’t busy. Our waiter was really nice he even helped me pick out my meal. My tacos were really good. If ever in town again I will definitely go here again. Good food, great service

Quiet, family-owned spot on the square. The thick corn chips and salsa is enough to get me there. The iced tea is great, and the rest of the menu is simple and delicious. The seating is very limited, and that’s unfortunate. The restaurant hours and days are not regular, and it’s frustrating to find they’re closed unexpectedly.

Came into town for a grandson‘s birthday and stopped to eat breakfast & lunch. Amazing food homemade tortillas so delicious and three types of salsa can’t beat that. Highly advise that you stop and grab a bite to eat you will not regret it. #GreatService #GreatFood #Delicious

First time i ate there, there was very little tripas for the price. Gave em another chance. Went today. Got the menudo. Tripes cooked well. But whoever seasons the water needs to be fired. That was horrible. Absolutely no flavor. It was like plain hot water with oregano. Yeah they need to out that person to wash dishes or something.

I went there to order five tacos for breakfast, they told me this kind of takes a while because they only had 2 cups and they only had one table waiting for food. During the ordertaking process I had to repeat it three times and they were for normal three ingredient breakfast tacos. I normally don’t like to complain, but it looks like they just didn’t care whether or not I brought business to them or not. Maybe it’s because I’m white
