We had a really solid lunch at LongHorn Steakhouse in Coralville (2671 James Street), and it honestly hit the spot. From the time we sat down, the service was excellent. I wish I could remember our waitress’s name because she deserves a shout-out. She was awesome—super friendly, attentive without hovering, and just had a great attitude the whole time.
For food, we ordered the lunch lemon garlic chicken with mashed potatoes, Flo’s 6 oz filet with a loaded baked potato, and the Wild West shrimp. Everything came out hot and cooked just right. The lemon garlic chicken had really good flavor and wasn’t dry at all, which can be hit or miss at some places. The mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth. The filet was tender and seasoned perfectly, and the loaded baked potato was exactly what you want—plenty of toppings and nice and fluffy inside. The Wild West shrimp had just the right kick and made a great addition to the meal.
Overall, it was a great experience. Good food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

Our server was Emma and she was phenomenal. The food was all excellent, but Emma made it a genuinely memorable experience by being super attentive and making sure we were taken care of start to finish. Couldn’t have asked for a better first time at Longhorn.

Rude host! Bunch of host/hostesses standing around when my family of 3 came in approximately 6:30 on this past Friday. The host looked my husband up and down in an extremely rude way.
Then sat us with a double sat server so we never saw our server, basically! Anytime we needed something she wasnt around. I got an 8 oz sirloin med-rare, it was rare all the way! My husband got a cowboy ribeye and asked well done, that was a medium! Thankfully my daughter, whom is young still who needs completely well done was the only one right!
The Texas Tonions and some kind of chicken rolled up and I believe fried ( another app) did atleast come out on time. The only thing that went right!!! The restaurant was busy and they should be accustomed to this, but apparently not!!! I will never return to this Longhorn Steak houses until the crew changes! My husband even left a 79 dollar tip on only a 121 bill because he felt “sorry” for the server! I was livid!!! 200 dollars for nothing!

The filet and burger were great. The Chocolate Stampede is a superior family sharing dessert and you will need to share it. When at a steakhouse, get steak. The girls say that the salmon, fish, and appetizers are all pretty standard for a chain.

Very disappointed, our crested parmesan cheese fries came out cold so sent back. Then they charged us for two fries. Had to have it fixed. Husband ordered new York strip steak.
Medium it came out rare,heavy on salt and pepper. My salmon was okay nothing to write home about. I.know it was busy. However the food was a huge let down.
