I’ve had better from them than what we ordered. We didn’t go deep dish and I think we should have. I recall those being better. Granted, the sauces were fresh and everything was still good. Just wasn’t blown away.

We struggled with places being closed during the off season, so we ended up coming here twice while in Telluride.

Between our visits, my husband and I shared:
– Chester’s Tail Wagger, Classic Pizza (seasonal)
– Little Rose, Detroit Style Pizza
– Gold Hill, Detroit Style Pizza
– Southwestern BBQ Chicken, Detroit Style Pizza

We really enjoyed everything we had here. The seasonal pizza was definitely my favorite followed by the Little Rose. They have a really good Detroit style crust.

I tried my mom’s Gold Hill on a classic crust and actually thought that pizza was better on the classic crust instead of the Detroit. I wish the BBQ pizza had BBQ sauce as the base instead of red sauce with just a drizzle of BBQ. The red sauce was a bit weird to me on a BBQ pizza, but it was still good.

I just recently discovered they also have locations in Denver, but it’s called Blue Pan Pizza so maybe I’ll be back sooner than I thought!

We ordered the Bruschetta, garlic parm chicken wings and Chicken wrap. I also wanted to order a deep dish pizza but our order was already massive with generous portion.
The bruschetta was yumm had loads of cherry tomatoes drizzled with Balsamic vinegar and the bread was one of the best I had.
The chicken wrap was also good. The garlic parmesan wings the outer fried layer was hard, but still okay. This is a very busy place. But the bar side stools will be available immediately.

Brown Dog Pizza was really good! Our server was friendly and very good at her job. She gave good recommendations and even brought to-go boxes and the check without us asking. The food was excellent. They have gluten free thin and deep crust pizza. The gluten free thin crust was the best I’ve ever had. They accommodated my service dog without any hassle.

Our first time in Telluride and did my research about must try restaurants. Brown Dog Pizza did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was phenomenal. We had spinch artichoke dip, garlic knots , wings (garlic parmesan & barbeque) and of course, their famous Detroit Style Pizza!

We ordered half/half of Brooklyn Bridge & 313. It was sooo good. Generous toppings & perfect crust! Great service from Brock too!

Brown Dog Pizza really knows how to make great pizza! The taste was amazing, and the service was excellent. Travis was our server, and he did an amazing job — very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is great — a lively bar area for social people, cozy booths for private groups, and a nice balcony, perfect for couples. Definitely an awesome place to eat in Telluride!

Brown Dog Pizza is great. Classic ski town pizza shop. Pizza is delicious. We got a salad to start with some homemade balsamic dressing that was really good. Our server made us feel welcome and was quick to bring our drinks and food. We did have to wait about 30 minutes for a table but we sat and had a drink next door.

I get it. There are other places to get a drink and something to eat in Telluride. But when we’re in town, this is our go to.
Consistently good food – sandwiches, salads, and pizza – there’s nothing bad on the menu. There’s outdoor seating when the weather cooperates, ample table seating, and the bar is a great place to watch sports on one of the seven tvs. The prices are reasonable and the draft beer selection is good. I guess the main reason we keep coming back is the service. These folks work so darn hard! This joint is jumping on festival weekends. But they never lose their friendly composure.
We should try other places, but we’re back for our third visit to Brown Dog this weekend. Keep up the great work!

It’s been a number of years since we’ve visited Telluride and had the chance to eat at Brown Dog. We’d begun to think maybe we’d hyped it up too much in our memories but we went tonight and it didn’t disappoint. We left our name with the hostess at 5:30 and went dog the road for a cocktail then received a text to return to be seated at 6:40, 20 minutes earlier than expected. We shared an arugula and artichoke salad followed by an outstanding prosciutto and arugula Detroit pie. Everything I desire in a pizza—delicious crust, a bit of crunchy cheese on the edges, salty meat, easy sauce and fresh greens on top cause we’re healthy like that. Our server Barrett was sharp, quick-witted and attentive without being intrusive. I highly recommend a visit to Brown Dog. YUM!

With rave reviews about their pizza we had to try it for ourselves because honestly it’s rare pizza is that good… but, wow! This pizza is amazing!!
We almost skipped getting the Detroit style
Pizza because we thought it would be too thick and greasy (like Chicago deep dish) but we were assured it’s actually lighter and crispy. Yep! So good!
We shared a small pizza which was two squares a person and had an appetizer and that was the perfect amount for 2 people.
The patio is dog friendly! BUT, the patio has to literally be built in the street – just be careful if you come off season because it wasn’t ready until late May.
