My meal came out extremely fast. And it looked depressed, my meal looked empty. But hey, you can’t mess up a baked potato, so what the heck, I’ll get it, I’m paying 16.50 after all. I mixed my potato and ate it…… tasted like it sat out for a few days, and something was crunchy in my baked potato, which wasn’t the bacon bits. I still don’t know what it was. I moved on to the brisket. The brisket tasted like a roast. It tasted like someone put a roast in a crockpot with nothing else and served it—nothing like BBQ, no flavor. The fat was gooey as well. The bread that they gave you for the brisket wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t fresh.
The paper they used to put the food on was falling apart and getting into my food. The gentleman did at least refill my drink. I went to pay, and it was 20 bucks for this massacre. As I was waiting for the gentleman to ring me up, I saw the awards provecho won for their BBQ whenever they were up north. It’s sad to see them still trying to ride on the high they had once upon a time, and I can’t help but wonder who left and who took over because this isn’t the same restaurant. I still tipped my server, because it’s not his fault. I have never contemplated asking for a refund for a meal until this. I don’t know how they are open.
