We arrived at opening time. There was a gaggle of people you could tell were regulars. We got seated quickly. Our server promptly greeted us and took our drink order. After getting our drinks, she gave us time to read over the menu. We both went with the daily special. It was a fried fish and shrimp with two sides. I got the fries and baked potato and he got the apple sauce and green beans. Everything came out at the same time and hot and fresh. Hushpuppies came with the special. Everything was delicious. The tartar sauce was notably delicious. I’m not usually a fan, but it was great here. Our drinks were refilled without asking. We were even asked if to go boxes would be needed before asking. Our server was thoughtful and unlike others in the immediate area. We might need to make this a regular spot. For a Seafood lunch under $30 for two people, and we took home leftovers…. I’d say this is a great place to come and bring others.

The food was really good, waitresses were attentive without being bothersome. Great portions that are well worth the money. I had a combo dish with founder, shrimp, oysters, hush puppies, fried okra,and onion rings. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. If you’re hungry and want affordable satisfying food, go here.

A great, unassuming, family oriented seafood & steak house that won’t break the bank!! Hushpuppies and onion rings are yummy , the Seafood is succulent and delicious, and the chicken …OMG!!! Fresh, hand-breaded, and fried to perfection Have not tried the beef , but will give it a try next time. Service is fantastic!!
Only downer for me was the deviled crabs , only found one little piece of recognizable crab meat in two orders! Lots of flavor and plenty of breading, if you are into that….

The food was adequate but portions were sizably smaller than last time we dined. The service was very slow and I found a small hair in my food. When I complained the manager was somewhat rude and reluctantly comped the serving because I ate most of the food. However, the hair was underneath some of my food and I didn’t spot it until I had eaten that portion. I told the manager this but I don’t think she believed me. Plus I had to pay cash to avoid a $2.00 charge for using my debit card. The last time I dined there, this was not the case. Frankly I don’t think I will support this establishment again.

This was the place our family always went to get really good seafood. Unfortunately, that’s not the case anymore. The seafood just doesn’t taste fresh, even though it’s supposedly cooked fresh. The scallops, in particular, tasted like they were a week old. And the breading on everything was just AWFUL.We could really taste that it wasn’t fresh. I explained this to our waitress, Nancy, but she seemed more offended by our question than by the fact that it wasn’t cooked fresh. I emphasized to her that the product itself wasn’t fresh.We specifically requested something else instead, but unfortunately, we were still charged for the scallops that clearly weren’t fresh.When we were ready to pay for our order, the cashier/hostess Andrea was quite unfriendly when we asked if we could have a separate bag for our to-go salad since our hot meal had been placed in the same bag. She clearly caught an attitude when I politely told her that she had snatched my credit card from me.This establishment isn’t the same. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the hushpuppies are not included as a standard part of the meal and are instead charged separately. While they are currently offered as a free item with your meal purchase, they used to be provided complimentary before your meal was served.

I had the combination platter and was very dissapointed with the scallops that were included. They were very chewy and the meat was tight. The texture was not at all what a real scallop tastes like. It seemed to be imitiation meat. Scallops are a favorite of mine, so I know the difference. I’ve eaten at Captain Tom’s for years and this was the first time that I was dissatisfied. I will not ever order scallops here again.. The other items could have also used a little more seasoning.

The complimentary hush puppies are always a hot and fresh, I like their daily special of popcorn shrimp and fish dinner. Fried oysters, scallops, and catfish are tasty, the onion rings weren’t seasoned this time. Most servers are good. Overall is good mom and pop seafood restaurant.

Good service but the food is not that good. My medium well steak was very tough & the jumbo shrimp that came with it was a little undercooked. My sides were rice & green beans both were not good at all. Rice had a sour smell & the green beans were super watery. My bf had fried catfish & scallops. He liked the catfish, but the scallops tasted like they were fried in chicken nugget oil lol. Best part was my glass of moscato & hush puppies appetizer
