Came here for dinner with family. I got the four pork rib platter with beans and greens as a side. The service was quick, and the preparation was accurate. On the whole it was a very good meal! The ribs were really good. Sides were a bit mixed; a couple people said the beans tasted slightly burned. The restaurant was relatively empty when we arrived just before six pm, but had since filled up. I’ll definitely return it back in the area; for DC it is pretty decent barbecue!

A great dive barbecue spot with amazing prices. The food is good, especially the barbecue. This was my first visit. I got the sandwich combo, a great value at $11 for a pulled chicken sandwich and two sides. The sandwich was a very generous size on a kaiser roll. The chicken was moist and tender (actually a little too moist, like it was steamed). Even though I ordered for eat-in, the sandwich was inexplicably wrapped in paper. The potato salad was homemade redskin potato salad (I don’t know if they actually make it on site but it was definitely not the factory style that you often get). The green beans were fine but canned. I can’t complain at this price.
You order at the cash register then they call your number when it’s ready to pick up, so there is virtually no service.

Ribs are the best, hands down! The brisket was a little dry but the pulled pork was moist. All the sides tasted terrific. They have various southern desserts but was too full to try.

Food was very good brisket was a little 2 tough but the pulled pork, sausage and the mac and collards were on point. But the banana pudding was the star of the show for a southern boy this is one of the best i have had.

The hardest part is trying to figure out what to order. Check out the menu online before you go to speed up the dilemma you will have when you get there. I ended up getting the Texas Teaser plate with potato salad and macaroni and cheese. Excellent choice. The food was great, tons of seating and the peanut butter pie was amazing. I would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. Fast service but not fast food!

The best sausage I’ve ever had! I tried the meatloaf too and it wasn’t so good, but that SAUSAGE .
I ordered on door dash and was disappointed in other items I tried, especially the fruit cobbler. I tasted like it’s been in the fridge for a couple weeks and the texture was that of crumbled cake and stuffing .
I would return and maybe just try meat since the sausage was so amazing!

Awesome lunch! I had the burrito bowl with chicken which was a huge portion. Husband got the duo meat ribs/brisket. Black eyed corn was a neat surprise. About 10 different sauces to choose from. Topped it off with a giant banana pudding and two tee shirts for souvenirs. A+++ would eat here again when we are back in town!

This is a solid barbecue restaurant the DMV area. I visited twice and enjoyed their food. Portions were good, especially the meats, prices were reasonable and the service was fast. The brisket was fantastic, tasty and not too fatty – a bit drier than I normally like but still very good. They had the best corn bread of all the BBQ places I’ve tried in the area, and their salad and baked beans were very good too. I had their burnt ends with baked beans again and Mac and cheese the next day. Burnt ends were drier since these tend to get cooked faster. Mac and cheese was just okay. Still a very good restaurant and would try their chicken and ribs next visit.

So I am giving this 5 stars, but wasn’t a huge fan of the brisket. It was okay, but this is the real reason. This place was a freaking bargain. Place I usually go to is 18 bucks for a half pound of brisket. This place had a Texas special I think (am a Texan so of course I got that), but it had a big rib (which was good), pulled pork (which was also good), some sausage (good again) and ALSO some brisket (which ranged from meh to pretty good, but had a bunch of pieces) AND they added two sides – Mac and Mashed. So for 16 bucks, these guys get 6 stars, especially for the hungry. Sauce was good as well, and people were nice. All up with the soda I think I was at 20 and change with a tip. Most BBQ places down, even the shitty ones, you are dropping 35-40 plus. Good work guys, can see why you are around 23 years.

Quality BBQ at fair price. Staff was friendly and orders were served quickly. Similar to Mission BBQ, but at a family friendly price. Side dishes seemed homemade, tasted freshly made. My only complaint is the cornbread is served cold, so there is no way butter will melt or spread smoothly on it. I like how Mission BBQ serves their cornbread warm so the butter melts and spreads easily. I’d recommend giving this place a try, if you are a BBQ aficionado like me.
