We walked into this restaurant by chance, I made other planned restaurants visits but most of them didn’t come to fruition as I was spoiled by many options in Madrid. It looked quiet from the outside, I was sceptical initially until I opened the door and found the restaurant was packed full of people, it’s a sign of good food. We had seafood platter for two with a bottle of wine included. The seafood is fresh due to the fast turnover. We were so full and we have to take half bottle of wine away.

It was a very good experience at the heart of Madrid. We had Gambias y Zambriñas. All very tasty. My friend and chuletón and i had merluza. All tasty. Service was very good. Prices are touristy.

It’s crazy, this place has some of the best seafood you’ll ever eat in the world. The shrimp here is so good that we literally came back after three years (and we live in California!) to have it again (would recommend any of the shrimp but you have to try the carabinero, once in a lifetime experience), and any of the seafood will impress you. The fish is cooked perfectly, the razor clams are better than you’ll find anywhere else, and the butteriness of the mussels I don’t think I could replicate if you gave me ten years in the kitchen.
…but also the owner has no idea how to do business. Place has 4.3 despite being so tasty for a reason, owner is unfriendly (we tried to talk to him in Spanish and compliment the cooking, and he straight-up stonewalled us) and waiters seem like they don’t really care. When a Chinese-American guy is complaining about service you know it’s actually mid.
Still worth going for the best seafood ever, whoever the chef is behind this restaurant is talented beyond belief.

This place is a gem in the rough. We have been in Madrid for 3 days and have been disappointed in the food, especially the originality, quality and taste. Trust me when I tell you, “ stay away from the touristy food plazas”. Spend the few extra euros and enjoy a good quality meal like we had at El Cucurucho Del Mar. We had an appetizer of “Chipirones de la ria a la parilla con alioli” which were flavorful, tender and “ que rico”. We also ordered the “ Monkfish and shrimp skewers” which were presented from a hanging skewer dripping onto a fresh cooked artichoke. Everything was cooked perfectly!!! Last but not least, we enjoyed Paella de Marisco for 2 which was the best in the area. Cooked perfectly unlike others in the plaza areas (tourist traps). You know its going to be done right when the waiter informs you that it will take 30 minutes. If you want good, authentic tasting food do not pass this place up!!!!

Just steps from Metro Callao, we found an intimate, welcoming restaurant that delivered an unforgettable Madrid dining experience.
Our Standout Dishes:
✨ ½ Ración of Grilled Razor Clams – Succulent, smoky, and kissed with garlic and parsley.
✨ ½ Ración of Grilled Scallops – Plump, caramelized perfection, served in their shells.
✨ Seafood Paella for Two – A fragrant masterpiece! Saffron-infused rice brimming with fresh mussels, prawns, and tender squid.
Every bite was a celebration of flavor – the seafood tasted impeccably fresh and expertly prepared. The service matched the meal: warm, attentive, and genuinely gracious.
For an authentic taste of Madrid’s vibrant seafood scene in a charming, relaxed setting. It wasn’t just dinner; it was the culinary highlight of our trip!

We concluded our two-week tour of Spain with what was likely the best traditional Galician-style seafood in Madrid.
It was impossible to pick a favorite dish because everything was equally exceptional. The octopus was perfectly tender, while the grilled baby scallops were fresh with a buttery-smooth texture. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the seafood paella, generously loaded with shrimp and mussels. It seemed to be cooked in a rich seafood broth and had a perfectly balanced, non-salty flavor.
The staff were warm, attentive, and delivered top-notch service. It was a meal we truly cherished, making for a perfect farewell before departing the next morning.

What a wonderful dinner! The food was full of flavor, the service top-notch, and the wine absolutely delicious. The paella was a standout, generously portioned and easily enough for three. The grilled vegetables and tuna with peppers complemented it perfectly, making for a well-rounded and memorable meal.

Absolutely amazing. Looks this up and was a bit skeptical giving the hit and miss luck we have had with seafood in cities like Barcelona and Seville. But this was spot on. Our server María who is from the Philippines and spoke fluid English, was so patient and kind at explaining the menu as we sat there and decided whether or not we were
going to stay and eat there. Glad we stayed. Food was outstanding. Excellent portions and excellent freshness and quality. One of the better meals we have had on our trip. Highly recommend. Shrimp and monk fish skewer
Was impressive. Going back for their paella before we leave town.

Absolutely blown away by this place! We just had one of the best dinners of our trip, the paella was out of this world. Packed with fresh, flavorful seafood and perfectly cooked rice, every bite was a nostalgic journey (a real Ratatouille moment that brought us right back to our childhood!)
Portions are generous, so come hungry! The decor is charming and cozy, and the owner, Alvaro, is welcoming and genuinely passionate about what he does.
The location couldn’t be better, and the whole experience felt like discovering a hidden treasure. This place is a must, do not miss it!
