Five stars for the service and atmosphere! It’s rare to see a team so focused these days—no one is sitting around or scrolling on their phones. They are fast, efficient, and always keeping the place clean. Love the late-night hours too! My only feedback would be the menu. I’d love to see more food options added in the future to match the great drink selection. If you want a quick drink in a clean, professional environment, this is the place to be in Vero.

American Icon Brewing in Vero Beach is one of those places where the building alone already has your attention. Set in a historic power plant, it keeps the original industrial bones intact—high ceilings, natural light, and history on the walls to remind you this place existed long before craft beer was involved.

A real win here is the space. Actual space. Inside, outside, grass you can walk on, air you can breathe. It’s refreshing to not be wedged into yet another strip mall where parking is a competitive sport. You can grab a beer, wander a bit, sit outside, or toss a bean bag like it’s a casual suggestion rather than an organized event. It weirdly reminded me of Minnesota—in the best way—where places had room to exist without shouting over traffic and neighboring businesses.

The vibe is relaxed without trying too hard, the beer is solid, there’s a full kitchen, and you can enjoy all of it without feeling rushed or overstimulated. Bonus points for being dog-friendly—bringing Ellie along was a win, and she seemed perfectly content soaking in the scene.

Also, as a Harley rider, the “motorcycle parking” sign did not go unnoticed. Small detail, but appreciated.

Overall, it’s a place that lets you hang out instead of herding you in and out, which feels increasingly rare.

What a cool place! Such a nice place to hang out with a good beer. The staff was nice and the manager, Nick, was so attentive. He kept coming by the table to check in. The building is full of history and had such a cool vibe. A bit drafty, but no doubt they’re adjusting to the cold. The food was spectacular, definitely order the bbq pineapple pizza. They also match their beers to the meals – takes away the horrors of picking for yourself. I truly hope y’all make your way there soon!

Really enjoyed this place. Food comes out quick. Burnt Ends awesome, great bbq sauce. Sweet potato fries are additive. Jalapino cornbread and sweet potatoe fries are joint appetizer. Was first visit, will be back soon. Was a old power plant.

Love this place! Had a wonderful server; Montana who took great care of us. We sat outside in the sunshine (shade available) and had a delicious lunch. We started with the Buffalo Cauliflower, which was so scrumptious that I could have made it my meal! I devoured my trio of Fish Tacos which were perfectly blackened and absolutely delish!! Partner had the magi sandwich which he throughly enjoyed!
Tons of craft beers on draft and
the history of the building (an old steam engine) is just icing on the cake. A visit to Vero must include American Icon!

Montana was amazing! She was behind the bar while a giant work party was upstairs and still managed to keep her bar patrons happy all the while making a million drinks for the crew upstairs! We had the buffalo cauliflower and honestly, it’s the best app on the menu! Highly recommend this place!

Traditional brewpub offerings in a historic industrial facility. Expansive outdoor patio with good separation from the parking area. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal.

I like all types of beer and American Icon makes delicious beer. The pilsner was great if you like that kinda skunky euro style which I do. The amber lager was great too and my wife loved the Liberty Funk sour. The food on the other hand wasn’t my favorite. The cowboy burger was tasty but also very greasy (literally dripping). The mozzarella cheese sticks are in an unusual beer batter that reminded us of a funnel cake. The nachos were nothing special and sadly the liquid cheese was not warm. The spare ribs sliders sounded amazing but were a huge let down, with the meat actually being cold like it wasn’t made fresh or even reheated. Service was quick and friendly, the bartender Brian was fantastic and even gave us a little history of the retired power plant turned brewery.
