I recently moved to town from the west coast and had been missing my usual family restaurant that I used to patronize often, especially for a good, hot breakfast on a weekend morning. I was not disappointed at Alex’s. Solid food, great service, friendly atmosphere, clean restaurant. Nothing really stood out as different or special about the food. It was just solid home-cooked comfort food. No complaints there. The ONLY very slight shortcoming that I saw was that the food took a little longer than expected to come out. I might have just been spoiled by my last family restaurant and Alex’s was admittedly busier than my former favorite usually was. Beyond that, suffice it to say that I will be returning.

I was trying to leave zero stars, but it won’t let me this was the worst meal that I’ve had and maybe my life! I paid $35 and I feel like I’ve been scammed! The food is tasteless and when you look at the photos, the food looks like it came from a food bank with no seasoning! I am highly upset and look at my cornbread. It looks like a burnt brick. This is despicable and I will eat out of the garbage can at my house before I eat at this establishment again. Look at the photos.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. We got there at 6:45 and didn’t get our food until almost 8pm. We had grits, eggs and pancakes. When we did get our food it was missing part of it and that didn’t come out until we were almost out the door. Two different couples came in after us. They ate and were leaving by the time we got our food. I wanted to come back and try the daily specials but after this I don’t think that I will.

Great spot! Feels like a hidden gem (I must have passed it for years). Came here for brunch after pickleball down the road. Lovely experience, sweet staff, and yummy food and very very affordable prices! ❤️ love that they offer breakfast etc all day!!

First time visiting and we loved it. It’s definitely a “mom and pop” home-style country cooking with the atmosphere to match it. Our waitress Rockie was really awesome, too. Since it was our first time, she went above and beyond to make everything simple and easy for us. We went just before school, and the service was pleasant and quick.

Traveled over 40 miles to meet a friend for lunch and was not disappointed. I know breakfast may not be a big deal for some… but it was amazing!! Everything was cooked as I asked and did not have to wait long. Our waitress was very attentive and all the employees were very polite. If I could, I would travel 40 miles every day for this kind of food and service

My son and I meet here quite often and the service is generally spot on but on this particular morning several tables seated after us and orders taken after ours received their food. I finally asked the waitress if she actually put our order in as it wasn’t anything unusual and she got quite snippy. She immediately brought out our order and it was like warm at best but still tasty.
