Our first visit to Cowboy Jack’s was truly unforgettable! We were a group of four in town celebrating my daughter’s 15th birthday during our fourth trip to Minnesota, and I’m so glad she picked this restaurant as something new to try.
From start to finish, the food was absolutely delicious; every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. What made the evening even more special was our waiter, Joseph (pic of him and Ms. B added). He was kind, attentive, quick with service, and kept us laughing throughout the night. His energy added so much to the experience.
The highlight came at the end when the staff surprised my daughter with a giant scoop of ice cream loaded with toppings, crowned by a big candle accompanied with yummy warm donuts. The entire restaurant joined in singing “Happy Birthday,” and the smile on her face said it all.
We also want to thank the sweet couple in the booth behind us who shared their blessings, and the funny gentleman who stopped by with birthday wishes and a playful joke about her turning 50, lol; it all added to the fun, welcoming atmosphere.
This visit was filled with kindness, laughter, and great food. We’ll definitely be returning to Cowboy Jack’s on our next trip!

Stepping into Cowboy Jack’s felt like entering a warm, rustic outpost—soft lamps glowing, wood-paneled walls wrapping the room in a cozy embrace. A fine refuge for any wandering traveler.
I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger in Impossible form, paired with a side of golden onion rings. The Impossible patty was impressively flavorful, with the mushroom–Swiss combo delivering a rich, balanced bite. The onion rings arrived crisp and satisfying—a worthy sidekick on the plate.
Service was friendly, attentive, and quick to read the needs of any guest—almost as if guided by the Force.
One note for future adventurers: the high-back table seats are, shall we say, a trial not meant for the faint of spine. Next time, I’ll request a standard booth or regular table for a far more comfortable journey.
A cozy saloon vibe, hearty comfort food, plant-based options, and warm hospitality—well worth a stop if your path crosses this frontier.

It was our first visit. The lady at the front was a little overwhelmed with how busy they were but did a great job taking our information to put us on the wait list.
We were told 30 minutes, but was seated in about 20.
Our waitress was great & very friendly. Drinks, appetizers & food was all quick & tasted great. They had games on the TV to watch as you ate.
We were very pleased with our visit and would eat here again if ever in the area.

We were there on Sunday, March 1st, and ordered the Bison burger. My daughter ordered the Alfredo pasta, and our kids ordered a burger and chicken fingers. The first complaint was the fact that we didn’t get served after 20 minutes of sitting there. After a while, someone asked us if we had been served, and then the server came and apologized because she didn’t realize she was our server. But our main issue was that the food was horrible; it was so bad that we didn’t want to eat it anymore. We ended up taking it with us anyway. After getting out and starting to walk around the mall, we all started to feel horrible. We headed home, and we were all feeling queasy and just not well. Eventually, after taking some Pepto, we all just went to bed and felt much better the next day. My wife called the next day and talked to Glen, the manager on duty, who said there was nothing they could do. He said, “Go ahead and call the health department if you want, but we can’t do anything on our end.” We dropped $155.00, so you expect the food to not just be good but also not make you feel sick after eating. We are never going to visit Cowboy Jack ever again, and yes, it was a horrible way to handle it as a manager because you never made the attempt to retain a customer. Hopefully, the next person who dines doesn’t get food poisoning, and you don’t get Glen to help you because you won’t get any help. Its hard as it is with the prices being so expensive but when you dont stand behind what you sell then thats a problem.

We went there for my birthday. Took the waitress 17 minutes to bring back a single draft beer. Place really wasn’t all that busy, never learned her name or I’d happily supply it, she wasn’t the friendliest, any time she interacted with us she was scowling.
Host was polite, a taller guy with his arm in a sling; I wish he would have been our server instead of the table reserve guy!!
When our food came back, after an almost 40 minute wait, two medium rare burgers came back as hockey pucks. We didn’t make a stink about it, there were already too many negatives, I just wanted to finish my meal and get out of there.
The buns were deceiving, they looked soft but we had to dig out the middle parts which were hard as rocks, clearly left under a heat lamp too long.
Chips were bland, and a strange mixture of soggy and rock hard.
Will not be coming back here, such a disappointment…

Ok…. In all honesty I just came in for some good beer. Here from Ohio for a trade conference and just looking for a good beer that I can’t find at home. I found it here at Cowboy Jack’s. Loved the atmosphere and bar. I really wish we would have found this place before we atmosphere at Bubba Gumps, because I really love s good wood fired pizza oven. Had the Castle Danger George Hunter Stout. The creamiest stout I think I’ve ever had. Really smooth, strong coffee flavor. I absolutely loved this one. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it back to try a flatbread!! Service was great sitting at the bar. Highly suggest this place.

Great week day happy hour! Joseph gave us such a great experience for our lunch date and made our daughter’s 5th birthday so memorable! He was the best server we have had in a while! We were sat right away and the food and drinks came out in great time/

Food was good. I enjoyed my Alfredo. Wife enjoyed her tacos. Little one liked her cheeseburger. Good variety to make our whole party happy. Prices were reasonable for being in the Mall of America.

Went here with a group of 7 !! They had a table that was open the whole time. We were waiting and they ended up seating us.In that same table,!! We waited almost thirty minutes!! They must be franchised because they didn’t have the same stuff that I ordered from the other location in bloomington, a few days earlier!!! The waitress charged me more than what I ate. It’s paid at the other location!! I didn’t argue with it.I just paid the bill!! However, I will not be going to this location again!! Our group had a wonderful time, but that is just ridiculous to have to pay. So much more at one location than the other!!!
