Lunch outside on a beautiful December day. Wonderful service from Emily and her colleagues. A nice outside table on a sunny day enhanced with side heaters. We’d heard great things but I would rate the food as mixed in quality and taste. Two of us enjoyed the price fixed $35 lunch. The Shrimp and Grits entree was almost cold. The broth was lukewarm. A couple of shrimp were actually cool. The swordfish club was nice but it didn’t knock our socks off. The best entree: a mix of vegetables for a vegetarian companion. Wow. A nice mix, including grilled okra w tomato jam. Our starters of butternut bisque and a salad were good. Dessert was very good. Chocolate pot de crème. The fried oysters were nicely prepared but rather small.

We really loved our meal at SNOB. We were there while visiting Charleston after running the Kiawah Island Half Marathon, and our server made the whole celebration feel extra special. She was wonderful at pointing out menu items and helping us choose things we truly loved.

For appetizers, we had the grass-fed beef carpaccio and the whipped ricotta with local honey. Both were delicious, though we did wish they weren’t both bread-based. For entrées, the grilled Heritage Farm pork chop was outstanding, some of the best pork I’ve ever had. I loved the blue cheese bread pudding that came with it. The greens were a bit bitter for my taste, but others might enjoy them. We also had the New Zealand lamb rack, which was amazing.

The only negative of the evening was our table location, we were seated by the bathrooms, and it felt like people were walking around us all night, which we didn’t love. That said, we’ll definitely be back at SNOB the next time we’re in Charleston!

Not to be dramatic but this is now my fav brunch spot in downtown Charleston. So many good combinations and great service. I love how their specials change daily. Personal favorite: the ricotta.

Twice! Twice in one day, we ate here!

A new menu every day!

We saw the great Google reviews and we had also been recommended this by one of my wife’s coworkers.

We travel a lot and we love great food. We were amazed! We had both lunch and dinner here in the same day while we were in Charleston.

Service was great. Emily was awesome! Danielle was awesome, as well!

I would seriously consider coming back to Charleston just to have the opportunity to eat here again.

The food was so great, we bought the cookbook!

Treat yourself, eat at this place!

fun to come back here after 1.5 years. server Ryan was an affable, charming, down-to-earth, relatable guy. we really enjoyed the time we had to talk with him in such a busy space! the meal didn’t fall short whatsoever, but the shrimp n grits dish was way better (portions, spice, and plating/presentation) previous visit. arugula caesar was good but damn salty! and duck breast was cooked well and generous portion of brussels (glad we didn’t order a side of them). if you call them crispy brussels, i’m of a firm belief that not only should they be crispy but doesn’t that mean roasted then fried? just a thought—not a takedown. they’ll be fine regardless of what i write about the dishes. just seems like they rushed things and aren’t putting as much care and concern into their dishes with respect to plating and presentation, portions and salt/spice levels. (final two photos were from July 2024 and show the shrimp and grits and halibut entrees to indicate differences in plating and portions…..)

This spectacular place in downtown Charleston is a must if you’re the area. A bit pricy but they validate it with a delicious options for various southern delicacies. I had the duck breast which was juicy and tender to the last bite. I was part of a large group of family members. The service was terrific (thank you, Anna). There were drink options to suite every taste from craft beers, to wine, to espresso martinis. My only regret is not having enough room for desert.

Absolutely perfection. Had the bbq shrimp as an appetizer, pan seared scallops for dinner, and bread pudding for dessert. Plus one cocktail and a glass of wine. So delicious. A little pricey so be prepared to pay for quality. Well worth it. Live music started at 7pm but wasn’t too loud.

What an experience! If you’re in Charleston and looking for a truly top-tier restaurant, this is it. The atmosphere and service are outstanding, but the food takes it to another level, absolutely phenomenal. I went with family to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday, and we found ourselves sharing plates just to taste everything because each dish was that good. Even the mocktails were crafted to perfection. We order the okra for an appetizer and scallops and tuna for the main. A must-visit!

Wonderful experience. We went casual dress. Exquisite carpaccio, best shrimp and grits in Charleston. Scallops were good. (But I’ve been spoiled by Baccus in Buffalo, NY.) You won’t be disappointed in your dinner. Were only here for two days but this was clearly the best meal we had in Charleston.

We were in Charleston for a brief two nights to celebrate my 65th birthday. We’d been once before 10 years ago and the one restaurant I knew I wanted to repeat was S.N.O.B. We booked lunch there and didn’t even need to look at the menu: we both knew we wanted the Shrimp and Grits. It was as delicious as I remembered it to be! Since we were celebrating my birthday, Paul, our amazing server, brought us champagne as a starter and had me choose a dessert on the house. The banana pie was one of the best dessert I’ve ever had! Now I’ve got to return to Charleston and S.N.O.B. for the Shrimp and Grits AND the Banana Pie!
