This isn’t on the beach but the food….YUM!! I had the lobster bisque and shared the seafood platter with my husband. It had blue crabs, clams, shrimp , steamed and raw oysters and it was GOOD!!! REAL GOOD! Ih, and their tuna dip was amazing! If you are in the area, this is a must. Everyone enjoyed their meals and left full.

I had higher hopes for this place. It gave off the vibe of an place locals would go and is a little bit off the tourist strip. I should have know when at lunch time there was only one other table. The oyster “stew” was advertised as a special recipe with a dozen oysters. Im not exaggerating when I say it was a dozen oysters In a bowl of milk with about 3 pieces of green onion and zero seasoning. For $18.99 a bowl, I was expecting something much more substantial and flavorful. The order of onion rings that I ordered with it had FIVE onion rings for an additional $6.25. I know onion rings are always more than fries, but I thought this was excessive. They had a nice patio out front with a bar. The building had a certain quaintness to it, but the food was way off for me in price and taste.

I was a little hesitant eating here, not sure why, but I was. Everything was delicious! My brother had the lobster bisque soup, he said it was amazing. And the crab cakes… get the crab cakes! Only thing, the crab leg meat seemed really small when pulled out. Good flavor though.
The fried crab claws, fried shrimp, oysters, lobster, fries, broccoli, and crab legs were all great! Everyone seemed to enjoy their food.

There is no other choice here ….. Blue Crabs!
I grew up in the north, where blue crabs are plentiful and readily available everywhere. However, not so easy here in Panama City Beach – Billy’s nailed it! Some of the best blue crabs I’ve ever had! Great service and fair pricing. Well done Billy’s!

The food was good. My husband wasn’t very hungry, so he ordered a salad. The salad was very unpresentable. They just emptied some leaves onto the plate and gave us a tiny pot of gravy, that’s all. The shrimp, combined with the toasted bread, were perfect.

The baked oysters were cheesy and delicious, and the seafood platter was loaded down with fresh seafood that was seasoned perfectly. The gumbo in a bread bowl was rich and packed with flavor and had a touch of spice. The oysters were my favorite part! So good!
Great portions and friendly service.
Definitely worth a visit!

Things I would order again: raw oysters, fried gator, and possibly the fried crab claws. Be sure to check the market price. Things I would not order again: lobster and steamer clams. They were both dry, chewy, and flavorless. Also, if you charge $10 for a cocktail, I should be able to taste the liquor. I don’t recommend either.
The server was great—a nice young man who was willing to demonstrate the best way to get the meat out of the blue crab.
Medium-sized establishment with plenty of patio seating and an outdoor bar with a view of a busy street.

The atmosphere and service was great but the food, at least the oysters not so much , once I finally got my chargrilled oysters they had been sitting so long that they were cold and the cheese on them was now one big flappy piece of plastic,

the oysters were shucked terribly, big flakes of shell that I bit into in over 80% of the dozen oysters only 4 were actually shell free below the cheese ,

Not the greatest experience and I know this place at one point in time was booming with good food because of how many people were there after I showed up and how many dollar bills they had hanging from their ceiling and more

I talked to a bunch of locals at other bars and they said that 5 years ago that Billy’s was the place to go , but now people really only go there for the blue crab besides that it’s a bust

They also didn’t have Michelob on draft (like most bars in PCB for some reason that is beyond me)

It sucks because the staff was really nice and the place was cool , but it was literally like I was watching an episode of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant turnaround before it was revamped ,

there was a guy in a full FedEx uniform bringing drinks to people at the the tables (which I’m not downing the man by any means , he’s got his grind on doing his thing, and I respect him 100% for that and it’s probably a family or friends business and he works there after his work shift which is awesome for him it just threw me off and this is an honest review)

Anyway I was planning on ordering crab legs and more for the wife and kiddos but after the debacle with oysters and waiting so long I just asked for my check and left and we ate spaghetti instead

this is the thing that sucks about doing reviews that I hate but it’s the truth.

Over all 2/5 definitely room for improvement especially whoever is shucking them oysters at

We came here as an alternative to a place down the street that was packed. Walked in without a wait which was nice! The outdoor space was nice but we sat inside. Inside was okay atmosphere. Our waitress was great and nice (accent and glasses). But I slightly understand why this restaurant wasn’t that busy….

Orders & Reviews:
Raw oysters: they were good! Cocktail was “ketchup” like though
Low country boil: not my favorite. Mostly potato’s, a few slices of sausage and maybe 8 small shrimp? (Pictured) don’t recommend
Perch fish: real good!
Lobster tail & peel shrimp combo: nope. shrimp was small, not spiced well, crab was dried out and overcooked
Kids meals were typical and fried

Food was tasty and service was great. Fried dinners are expensive for the amount of food you get. But shrimp pasta was a lot of food for the price. So it’s hit or miss.
