The cleanliness and maintenance of the store were equally poor. Trash was left unattended in the dining area, and the restroom was in an unacceptable condition. It’s clear that hygiene and upkeep are not priorities here, which is very concerning, especially for a food establishment.
As for the food, it was quite bad. The chicken was overcooked and extremely tough far from what you’d expect at a place known for fried chicken. To make matters worse, they didn’t even have trays available for dine-in customers, which made eating in-store uncomfortable and inconvenient.
Overall, this was one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve had. From poor service to bad food and lack of cleanliness, this location needs serious improvement. I hope management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary changes.
This was my first time going to this particular Popeyes and the first impression wasn’t great. I sat in the drive through with only one car ahead of me and waited 15 minutes before the person in front of me’s order was taken. Fortunately when it was my time to order I was able to get it in fairly quickly especially because it was a mobile order.
After placing my order the car ahead of me got their food quickly, and my food was ready when I pulled up, which was a positive experience.
I was nervous about what the quality of the food would be, but to my surprise everything but the biscuit was of good quality. The breading on my chicken tenders had good color, which tells me the oil was fresh, the chicken juicy and, my fries were crispy. The biscuit was a bit hard around the edges but tasted fine, I sum that up to the short staffing of this store, so I don’t blame the employees for that.
My order was accurate and the only real issue with my order is that I was only given two blackened ranch, despite paying for five. However, the staff member did make up for this by providing me signature sauce. My assumption is they might’ve run out of blackened ranch and I appreciate the attention to detail and care for making up the difference (when I received my bag it already had all of the sauces, I didn’t need to ask, which tells me the employee was attentive).
The employee working the window/speaker (he appeared to be a manager) was polite which I commend given the poor circumstances he was in. I didn’t see any other employees but I suspect there was maybe only one or two more working. There was also someone in the lobby which probably explains the wait as his attention was split and possibly also preparing the food.
Sometimes service and food quality issues are a result of the employees, however, I don’t believe they to be true in this case. If the store was better staffed I don’t think any of my negative experiences would’ve happened.
All in all, this Popeyes should improve staffing and training for some of their employees and most of the gripes myself and others have had would probably go away. I worked in fast food for two years so I understand whet it is like to be in the position of their employees–stuck with no help and unrelenting customers.
To the employees working the night of September 18, 2025 thank you for doing the best you could.
