I had a very disappointing experience at this Popeyes location. The staff were not welcoming or responsive they seemed uninterested in helping customers and lacked basic courtesy. Customer service is a huge part of the dining experience, and unfortunately, this store fell far short.

The cleanliness and maintenance of the store were equally poor. Trash was left unattended in the dining area, and the restroom was in an unacceptable condition. It’s clear that hygiene and upkeep are not priorities here, which is very concerning, especially for a food establishment.

As for the food, it was quite bad. The chicken was overcooked and extremely tough far from what you’d expect at a place known for fried chicken. To make matters worse, they didn’t even have trays available for dine-in customers, which made eating in-store uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Overall, this was one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve had. From poor service to bad food and lack of cleanliness, this location needs serious improvement. I hope management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary changes.

I originally gave a one star review but I’m rewriting my review.

This was my first time going to this particular Popeyes and the first impression wasn’t great. I sat in the drive through with only one car ahead of me and waited 15 minutes before the person in front of me’s order was taken. Fortunately when it was my time to order I was able to get it in fairly quickly especially because it was a mobile order.

After placing my order the car ahead of me got their food quickly, and my food was ready when I pulled up, which was a positive experience.

I was nervous about what the quality of the food would be, but to my surprise everything but the biscuit was of good quality. The breading on my chicken tenders had good color, which tells me the oil was fresh, the chicken juicy and, my fries were crispy. The biscuit was a bit hard around the edges but tasted fine, I sum that up to the short staffing of this store, so I don’t blame the employees for that.

My order was accurate and the only real issue with my order is that I was only given two blackened ranch, despite paying for five. However, the staff member did make up for this by providing me signature sauce. My assumption is they might’ve run out of blackened ranch and I appreciate the attention to detail and care for making up the difference (when I received my bag it already had all of the sauces, I didn’t need to ask, which tells me the employee was attentive).

The employee working the window/speaker (he appeared to be a manager) was polite which I commend given the poor circumstances he was in. I didn’t see any other employees but I suspect there was maybe only one or two more working. There was also someone in the lobby which probably explains the wait as his attention was split and possibly also preparing the food.

Sometimes service and food quality issues are a result of the employees, however, I don’t believe they to be true in this case. If the store was better staffed I don’t think any of my negative experiences would’ve happened.

All in all, this Popeyes should improve staffing and training for some of their employees and most of the gripes myself and others have had would probably go away. I worked in fast food for two years so I understand whet it is like to be in the position of their employees–stuck with no help and unrelenting customers.

To the employees working the night of September 18, 2025 thank you for doing the best you could.

$14 after tax for a number one combo. they couldn’t even put the damn pickles on. I was the only car in the drive thru and no one was in the store. Confused why I was told to hold on for a solid five minutes before some annoyed employee finally took my order. Of the three times I’ve been to this location, it seems to get worse. And they never have soda! It’s always just lemonade or sweet tea .. why?

Ordered thru the app. Still waited 10 plus minutes to get my food. The chicken wings were so tiny and the chicken strips looked more like clam strips. It tasted great but the quality was pitiful. The pic shows how small they were. Not even the size of my thumb and I have small girlie hands.

Used to be a favorite for a quick bite. Now every time we stop in it’s we don’t have dark meat we don’t have light meat outta this 15 min that 30min this. All the while it takes 25 min to go from being second or 3rd car to get to window after having to change order 3 times due to all they are out of. Employees slow as molasses and not professional at all. I get it nobody is thrilled to work in fast food but it’s not an excuse to be lazy and not care period.

I thought I could stop in & grab a good bite to eat before I head home after working all day The lady who took my order through the drive thru speaker was extremely nice & accommodating .But when she told the cook That I requested for French fries the cook complains he threw a fit all upset started huffing in puffing he made me so upset that I immediately ask for a refund. She couldn’t believe the treatment I was receiving over French fries harsh treatment terrible behavior. To anyone that love’s to door dash gruh hub ubber eats taken in or dine in please don’t waste your time with this palm bay location treatment in kitchen is harsh . Now I see why Popeyes lost 95% of there most valuable customers. Not only is the chicken extremely expensive but the customers service along isn’t Worth anyones time I will not spending a dime of my hard earn money to be treated like that for such a simple request. At this particular location don’t waste your time . Why apply for Job if your customer service isn’t going to be elite. The fast food industry has gone completely down drain. Bottom line service is everything if we as consumers Don’t come and spend our hard earn money Popeyes business don’t thrive it’s force to go into bankruptcy. I’ll take my business else where I’m appreciated & definitely will not be returning back to this particular location to purchase anything . This is one of thee main reasons I don’t eat out . I rather continue to cook for me in my family too expensive & customer service is terrible to say the least .

I went through the drive-through about 10:00 tonight and it took 15 minutes before the first person even moved. I was the third person. I waited about 1/2 hour and nothing moved! I didn’t even hear anyone acknowledging the car in front of me. I backed out and left. As I drove by the window and windows of the dining room, I saw NOBODY in the restaurant at all. Why advertise that you are open until 1:00 am when you can’t staff up to 10:30? What a waste of time!

This Popeyes on Palm Bay Rd is the worst in this area. The chicken isn’t fresh, it’s like it’s been sitting all day. I’ve complained about this before. They need to change the grease or something, because the chicken isn’t fresh. I think they’re not managing it well, otherwise the chicken would be fresh and not fried up into small pieces, also not dried up like wood. Horrible! I’m not talking about West Melbourne let me make that clear. I’M TALKING ABOUT PALM BAY RD POPEYES.

Ordered through app for pick up. Ample parking. Went inside to pick up chicken strips and a drink. Order was ready. Tasted drink to make sure iced tea was unsweetened. It was. Left a satisfied customer.
