Sitar Indian Restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The food is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. My only go to place for Indian food! I always say 4.5 out of 5 on the spice levels and it’s soooo good! (Mexican who likes her meals spicy). Best combination is chicken tikka masala and spinach paneer .

Went here for the first time today and it was very delicious! I went simple and ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, Rice and Mango Lassi. The mango lassi was sweet and creamy and very refreshing. I went medium spicy for the butter chicken and it was perfect. The chicken was very tender and super flavorful. The rice was cooked perfectly. Lastly, the garlic naan was delicious and aromatic with loads of butter and garlic. 5/5

Excellent ! We got there 5 mins before they closed at lunch at 2:30 we did not know they closed in between lunch & dinner ! But they told us come on in & get a plate or 2 then we could sit down & eat . The food was delicious everything was good ! I especially liked the vegetables in masala with the tasty rice ! The sag -the black lentils -the tandoori chicken nothing was too spicy ️- very reasonable prices 26.20 total for 2 buffets – our first time here! Thanks so much we will come back but not at closing time ! We were impressed !

First time trying this place and I can say I was not only pleasantly surprised but blown away. We don’t have an Indian resturant that I’ve found in Athens but I would happily make the trip up I75 for this place. The buffet is not what you think, if you were served any of these items off the menu you would enjoy them. Nothing old, cold or gross. All hot, fresh and delicious. And it’s all you can eat for a VERY reasonable price. My wife got the buffet and I was feeling more of a menu item. I got the Paneer Masala. If I did have one complaint, it’s that I’m mad that I got full and couldn’t eat more.

We were passing by and was looking for Vegetarian indian food. Saw Sitar had great reviews. They didnt disappoint completely. Ambience was bit loud as there was a large group celebrating. We opted for lunch buffet. Food was good but we have had better food. There were good veg and non veg options. Loved the bhindi masala. Overall i felt it was worth the price point.

The food quality is always good; portions are good and always fresh and hot.
I enjoy having the lunch buffet when I am in the area at lunch time. I also like the authentic menu selections in the evenings. It does get crowded at lunch buffet, but that’s because it is so good, but never a very long wait to be seated.
Sitar has both vegetarian dishes and meat dishes available, so I think everyone can be accommodated here.
Keep making the fresh, authentic dishes.
