Our server, truly elevated the experience. He was friendly, professional, and consistently attentive throughout the night. Whether it was refilling drinks, checking on our preferences, or making sure everything was running smoothly, he handled it all effortlessly. His hospitality did not go unnoticed, and we sincerely appreciated the way he took care of our table.
The hibachi portion of the evening, however, didn’t quite match the high expectations we had—especially since this place was chosen to give our boss and friends a memorable time. While the chef cooked most of the dishes properly, the interactive and energetic performance that typically makes hibachi dining so enjoyable was somewhat lacking. He appeared disengaged, and the lively atmosphere we were hoping for just wasn’t fully there.
On the food side, most items were well-prepared and flavorful. The rice, vegetables, and other selections were seasoned nicely and tasted great. Unfortunately, the salmon was disappointing. It seemed to have been frozen and ended up burnt on the outside while remaining undercooked inside. The attempt to fix it did not improve it much, which slightly dampened the overall mood at the table.
We did appreciate the discount offered for the salmon, as it showed consideration and professionalism. Despite this hiccup, our overall fondness for Yamato’s remains. It’s still a place we enjoy, and we would be willing to return, hoping for a more engaging and flawless experience next time.
Our server, Samir, was very hospitable and on top of everything the entire time—we truly appreciated his attentiveness and great service.
While our chef provided a decent overall experience, it did fall short of what we’re used to. He wasn’t very engaging and seemed like he would rather be anywhere else than at our table. Most of the food was cooked and seasoned perfectly, with the exception of the salmon. Unfortunately, it was clearly frozen and ended up being burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The attempt to recook it only made things worse, and the experience noticeably went downhill from there.
That said, the discount we received for the salmon was appreciated. Despite this hiccup, it doesn’t change our overall love for Yamato’s, and we’ll certainly be back. If you’re in the area, it’s still a spot we highly recommend stopping by.
Friendly service. Affordable price. Place was crazy busy.
Next time you dine in, notice if it seems they boiled the noodles, put in a bowl then put soy sauce and serve. They do not fry off the excess water from the noodles. Hopefully more people review of the food so they can fix the issue.
+ We love going here for a birthday as you get a free meal.
+ The steak, lobster, scallops, are worth it,
~ the rest is ok (shrimp, fried rice, sweet egg noodles, tiny salad and weird tasting soup)
We had possibly the most skilled chef the world has seen, performing many cool tricks. He was very funny, and the food tasted amazing. The place was perfectly clean too, there was no dirty areas.
The place costed around $25 per person. You are sat with other people. Both of the groups we were sat with had birthday guests. One very kind person paid for everyone’s meal, and even gave us some candles. Walk-ins were allowed, I am unsure if reservations are possible. The restaurant had many different vegetarian options. It was somewhat difficult to find parking, since The Shops at Wiregrass was very busy. The kid’s menu had 3 items, those coming with noodles, fried rice, vegetables, and more.
So I immediately got up to speak to a supervisor. She told me that we will settle the bill later. When received the bill, we noticed that a gratuity was automatically placed on the bill and they took off my sons donner which was free anyway, due to their birthday special. But they no attempt to compensate us. In fact the asked for half the gratuity. This is the worst restaurant policy,I’ve ever heard of . When I called back and spoke to ERIC he hung up the phone on me when I was appaulled about the fact that they would not compensate us with the 60 $ that was left on the bill. Even after telling him that we have to take my son to an eye
