Definitely THE BEST service at a restaurant of any kind. Love that you can smell the smokers when you’re walking up but it’s clean and neutral inside the restaurant. The catfish is unreal, the cornmeal coating is crispy but the catfish is so flaky and buttery underneath. Also tried the rib tips plate and was equally delicious. Will be back!

If you’re looking for incredible local barbecue, this place is an absolute must. The smoked chicken was easily some of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with that rich, smoky flavor that shows they really know what they’re doing.
What truly sets this spot apart, though, is the owner, Earnest. He’s one of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll meet. He takes the time to greet customers, check in on their meals, and make everyone feel welcome. You can tell he puts his heart into both the food and the community.

In Texas for the day and was determined to find great BBQ. We were completely blown away with this spot. The food was amazing and Earnest himself insisted on rolling out the red carpet for our first Texas bbq experience. Best ribs and catfish any of us have ever had! Places and people like this don’t exist in very many places. Glad we found this one.

I’ve eaten a lot of Bbq and Earnest B’s rates near the top. The seasoning and bark along with the smokey taste and smell is top notch. The potato bun’s were fresh a and really added to the experience. My mouth waters just thinking about it. If you’re in the Frisco area, it’s a must stop for lunch or dinner. I would rate the taste and flavor of the brisket over Hutchins which I like a lot. Go try it and you won’t be disappointed.

OMG this place is soooo good, I’m sad that I’m just now trying it, considering they’ve been in business 10 years. The staff was very nice, the owner introduced himself as well he was extremely down to earth. I let him know I was from Baton Rouge so I’m no stranger to good seasoned food. This is hands down some of the best catfish in this area and it’s real catfish. I also tried the chopped chicken sandwich again, very flavorful and good. I can’t wait to return when I’m in that area again.

This was an AMAZING experience from the FOOD to the CUSTOMER SERVICE! Let’s start with the Rib Tips!!! I am from Chicago and the Rib Tips was a 10 out of 10! The flavor and smokey flavor has the ABSOLUTE right balance….AND they were VERY TENDER, OMG! Next, let’s talk about the Brisket, ANOTHER 10 out of 10!!! The were so TENDER and once again the smokiness and FLAVOR was on point!! I don’t know how they get the smokiness and flavor in their meat, but I must say I was highly impressed!! I had the baked beans and brisket mac and cheese. Now let’s talk about that Mac and Cheese….I love a creamy cheesy Mac and cheese….and adding the brisket to this dish made this a 10 out of 10 as well!! The baked beans was excellent as well, you can taste their great barbecue sauce through the whole dish and it seemed that it was simmered to perfection!! NOW…The prices were VERY reasonable for the large portions!!! OH, I almost forgot….don’t forget the AMAZING sweet tea!!!!
Lastly, and the icing on the cake….the customer service made me feel like so WELCOME!!! I can’t wait to come back to try the catfish!!!

We were looking for a new BBQ joint to meet up and try out for lunch, that’s close to the wife’s job, and this place fits the bill. Service was attentive, we were greeted by two staff members upon arrival, so off to a great start. Order is made convenient with the availability of an ordering kiosk. Of course, you can order with a live person at the counter if you wish. I ordered the pork ribs plate and wife order the brisket plate. Our bill came out exceptionally reasonable compared to other BBQ joints we’ve eaten at, and the plates were phenomenal. Not a huge fan of the coleslaw, but their pork ribs are perfectly smoked, juicy, pull-off-the-bone tender and each bone has a perfect smoke ring and bark! The house BBQ sauce is great and I’ll be picking up a bottle or two along with their rub the next time we stop by, which is next Friday!

My husband and I came with friends who live in Dallas, we are from San Antonio. Catfish and brisket are my favorite. The catfish was seasoned, battered and cooked perfectly. The brisket was so tender, I didn’t even need a knife to cut it. Everything was amazing! We will definitely be back! We are Ernest BBQ fans! Two thumbs up. Let the Lord use you, sir.
