When we asked Amanda, the manager, about the delay, she told us they are “not really supposed to seat parties of 10,” which made no sense considering two larger tables were seated before us. Shortly after speaking with her, our food came out — which felt like it had been sitting in the back for quite some time.
Unfortunately, the food quality was unacceptable for several members of our party:
My chicken was extremely overcooked and rubbery.
My daughter-in-law’s chicken was also poorly prepared, and she had to eat around the bad portions.
My son’s steak first came out overcooked, then was brought back rare. At that point, after nearly two hours of waiting, he ate it simply because we were hungry.
My grandson’s date received a steak that was undercooked and tough like beef jerky. When they remade it, she was told to “take the other one home for her dog,” which was incredibly insulting.
When it came time to pay, my son and I covered the bill. Despite the long wait, poor food quality, and service issues, Amanda refused to offer any discount. She then stated she had given a comp card to my parents (who dine there frequently) — even though they did not pay the bill and had no issues with their meals. That made absolutely no sense.
The situation escalated when Amanda raised her voice at my son and me in front of other customers. We asked her to walk away, and she responded by saying she would not serve us again. The entire interaction was humiliating and unprofessional. Even our waitress expressed that she didn’t understand why Amanda was making the situation so difficult.
This was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Between the wait time, food quality, and management’s behavior, we will not be returning.
Prices were a little steep on some dishes but no more than other restaurants out there. The dining room was a bit crowded and noisy but it was a weekend night. All in all it was great. We’ll be back.
Ben checked in at all the right times without hovering, gave great menu recommendations, and made us feel truly welcome. It’s rare to find that level of service these days, and he definitely went above and beyond.
We’ll definitely be coming back, and we’ll be asking for Ben next time!
After waiting an hour and a half at the table and the food was not there the manager Amanda comes to explain why it’s taking so long. She did not make me feel like I was an important guest at the restaurant. Went on to say that they don’t normally take larger parties. Since I have been here regularly for the last 20 years and have seen plenty of parties this is just simply not true. She went on to apologize. And about 2 minutes later the food came out. 4 out of ten plates were not quality. Mind you one of the six decent plates only ordered a piece of cheesecake.
A med rare came medium well and a med well came well. Two pieces of parm chicken came barely warm and hard over cooked to the max. One of the chicken did not eat it.
The other ate around it. The medium well steak customer was offered to take the over cooked steak home if they had a dog? Med rare steak came out rare which was mine and I just ate it since I had already been at the table for an hour and 45 minutes. What surprised me is they made precedence over the Cooked wrong food that needed to be remade but I felt that for the price I’m paying to enjoy this establishment shouldn’t it be right the first time? Yet what surprised me the most was when something more was asked of them for all the trouble we were belittled for having spoken to them in some type of way that made them treat me in a poor way. The manager Amanda admitted to treating us in a poor way because she didn’t like something someone said. I can assure you none of use spoke to her with disrespect and only voiced our opinions in a calm manner. In 20 plus years eating at this establishment and my own experience in the food industry as a line cook and server, this is about the worst it gets. Amanda should be washing dishes not managing people.
I probably had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had from this longhorn today. We go here frequently, and their food is always good but, for some reason today’s burger was just exceptional.
