We love Maddox, but dining inside can be pricey. We go to the drive-in and purchase two chicken breasts, one order of mashed potatoes and chicken gravy, and one green salad. The size of the breasts can vary, but they are usually very tasty even when smallish. The salad is fresh and is plenty for two. If you want lots of potatoes, get two. We can usually eat for just over $20 including tip. We love the roast beef dinner, but it’s closer to $20 for one. Honestly, I think we could split it and order from The Shack. If you order from The Shack and want to eat before you go home, take some paper plates with you. We usually get our food to go and either take it home or park behind the lodge. We go every week.

First time dinning. We arrived an hour before they closed. They ran out of prime rib. Make sure you arrive earlier for that dish. I ordered the shrimp steak. It was a lot different than expected. The chicken fried steak tasted more like a hamburger steak. I was a bit confused that’s how they make it. The rolls are homemade. I would recommend coming back again and trying their different plates.

First time here and we will be back! Super cute place with DELICIOUS malts, cheeseburgers and homemade root beer. The coleslaw was tasty too. they did a great job accommodating a gluten-free, lettuce wrap burger, which was generously wrapped in nice lettuce. The service was incredible and our server was very generous and kind. The beef is fantastic and malts were very malty! Loved the Oreo malt and the chocolate malt. We also tried a marshmallow banana shake – so good. Didn’t love the fries but that’s a personal preference. Others in the group liked the fries.

We usually love Maddox, we’ve been coming here for years usually even the drive through is fresh, the fries are perfect and everything is delicious. We like to dine in too the handmade rolls are the best and it seemed like the buns on the drive through burgers were the same homemade quality.
It’s too bad really cause this time the food quality just did not seem the same at all, we noticed right away that the buns seemed different like just from the store and the fries were over cooked and not good at all like they used to be. Not sure if it’s worth stopping at the drive through anymore.

This is a solid 4 star, almost 5. There is limited seating and also designed for in your car, hence the drive-in. The food is great! Chicken crispy, fried too. Gravy Nd mash potatoes excellent. Rolls with raspberry butter are awesome. We did find a hair in 1 of the salads, and it was quickly remedied. They removed from the bill and offered something in return. Service is friendly, and value for what you get is good. Fresh strawberry pie, yes, please.

We have been coming to Maddox for years and so it is with great regret that I am leaving this negative review. We pulled into the drive in an waited at least 15 minutes for someone to take our order which never happened. Impatient people were honking their horns for service while the waitress staff stood in plain sight inside the doors busy on their phones. Our patience ran out as the vehicles on both side of us, which arrived after we did, were helped. Perhaps management should ask people to do the job they were hired for and save social media for when they get home? We didn’t experience crappy service, we received no service.

This is one of my favorite places to visit for chicken. There drive-in is super nice (like Sonic), as soon as pulled in someone came to our window. We got the buffalo burger, chicken basket, and fresh apple pie. Their ice cream cones are really good as well (no picture of ice cream, it was gone before I had a chance to take a picture).
