Reviews suggest this place is cool. Maybe on a weekend. In my case, I went to get a beer and maybe watch Monday Night Football. At 8:30pm Monday, it looked nearly closed for the night, the only action being right at the bar, with foul-mouthed smokers occupying the stools. A request to put on the football game instead of the Pandora screen was met with a blank stare by the bartender.
The parking lot is dim and in back, with the main entry door poorly illuminated and hard to see.
Maybe this is someone’s vibe, but it’s certainly not mine.

Ajs is a cool place for beer and pool. They have tournaments on Wednesdays 10$ to enter and usually have a band and a cover on the weekends. They don’t offer food that I know of. Wish they did.

Good place to get a beer with friends, foods okay but music is STILL way too loud with the bands if you have to shout at somebody half a foot away from you its too loud. It’s a small ish space and the only decent spot you can speak at is in the back room usually packed with people avoiding the bands

We stopped by on motorcycles after being told by a couple of locals to come here! The owner was very nice and the beer was cold! The atmosphere is relaxing and just a good place with friendly people! Definitely recommend for a drink and a good time with friends!

I drive all the way to AJ’s, from West Knoxville, on Wednesday nights, to compete in their weekly 8 Ball tournament! While the atmosphere isn’t the Ritz Carlton, the crowd, service and and competition more than make up for it!!
