Great local bar/restaurant! It was Late and we needed food! It was within walking distance from our hotel and we found it on Google. Harpoon Larry’s has some Great food and a Great server-Daniella! She was so much fun, took care of us, and gave us good food suggestions (coconut grouper sandwich/crab cakes/blackened fish-YUM!)! We really enjoyed it and the MUSIC was Awesome!! Real good mix of bands-old school hard rock! What happens @Harpoon Larry’s may stay there but I hope this review goes Everywhere!

Restaurant not as busy as years ago but bar area was full. Inside seating and outside seating tiki bar available. Server was attentive and helpful with menu and drinks. Stuffed flounder had heavy seasoning where I could barely taste crab meat and flounder. Roasted potatoes had rosemary sprinkled on and I added salt. Mac and cheese lacked some seasoning and was oily in dish. Food was lukewarm when it arrived to table. Crabcakes ordered fried and overcooked. Food was way better few years back when visiting the beach. Cook might be new. I’ll stop again next time at beach.

This is our first time here and overall everything was pretty good! We ordered wings, stuffed mushrooms (my favorite), crab soup (amazing), and the killer seafood platter. Oh and I got a strawberry jalapeño margarita…delish!!!

This is a fun place to get some seafood while in Virginia Beach. Service is sometimes.a bit slow but it’s worth the wait. The Hush puppies are a MUST. By far the best ones I have ever had.

I love this place !! Down to earth seafood spot that’s a staple for all of my trips to Virginia Beach. Known for the best Hurricanes Drinks in town but the food is what keeps me coming back. Very reasonably priced, down to earth atmosphere and service, and the best part is you don’t have to wait 1.5 hrs to get a table. Bing Bam Boom Amazing.

This was an all-around decent experience. After a morning of galvanizing around VA Beach and Norfolk, this was a chill spot to chill out. I did enjoy the food and drinks. The sever Andralina was funny and informative. She definitely made the experience better. Her recommendations were not bad ones. The oysters were good. This was the first time I had oysters that seemed so fresh. It is a nice spot to stop in for food and drinks to refill you to get back out there and explore or whatever you do.

These folks have a pretty lousy review history. In all honesty, would have gone elsewhere if we had checked Yelp in advance. That said, none of what others are complaining about happened to us.

It was a beautiful December day in the 60s when we stopped in. Waitress and bartender were both very friendly and conversational. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of Bloody Mary’s and a beer. Those were followed by a dozen oysters on the half-shell and a dozen steamed clams.

Oysters were shucked right in front of us. Clams were steamed at the end of the bar where we were sitting. Everything was locally-sourced, fresh and delicious!

Admittedly, we visited when the tourists are elsewhere and that could make all the difference in the world. Still though, a great experience the one time I visited.

Just down right foul as a part time bartender and nurse on maternity leave was expecting to walk in for something to eat (oysters) and a rum runner which should never been made frozen or mentioned they only way they sell them…. Server didn’t even let me get my baby booth with out coming up to us and asking for something then when I mentioned we just sat down her response was so I’m assuming waters? ma’am! I know yall are busy but your lucky we left you with any tip with out being checked on while you and other servers were all chit chatting by the hosts stand also the oysters rock were straight cream cheese and not cleaned properly the bbq shrimp very overcooked and drowned in bbq I’ll go back to the one at the ocean front from now on… my apologies but I can’t stand eating out anymore

Great menu with a ton of seafood options. Tuna was great as an appetizer. All the meals from pasta to “steak and cheese” were really solid. Mac and Cheese as great. On this visit though they took about an hour to make fish tacos and crab cakes and we were one of the only ones there- unfortunately it is the only time we will be here so I wouldn’t judge it completely on this one visit – but had to mention the good with the not so good.

It wasn’t too busy and the staff sat us pretty fast. She was so nice and was very helpful. The food came out in a timely manner not supper fast but it didn’t take a long time either. But if your here you should definitely come visit. The food was really good too. And the portions were large.
