Tonight we celebrated my grandma’s 81st birthday at Red Lobster, and I have to share how wonderful our experience wasn’t
They were extremely busy because of a concert in the area, and you could tell the restaurant was at full capacity. But what stood out most was the attitude and professionalism of the staff — especially Tierah & Dazhon and the general manager.
Tierah and Dazhon are only 18 and 17 years old, and they handled themselves with such maturity and grace. In the middle of the rush, they were calm, cool, collected, and genuinely kind. They didn’t get frustrated. They didn’t show attitude. They treated every guest — including our family — with care and class.
They managed everyone’s requests and desire to be served with patience and professionalism, and that speaks volumes, especially under pressure.
Thank you for helping make my grandmother’s 81st birthday special. We truly appreciate the service and the heart behind it!

This evening my server was Kimberly, she was friendly, recommended a alcoholic beverage that was delightful. In my opinion the dip changed but was still good. My shrimpies were delicious ! I did not expect to spend $50 on myself tonight but I did and Kimberly made it worth it as well. Fantastic job Kimberly!

Terrible experience. We got here at 3:30 we didn’t get our food until 4:25. The food arrived and it was rushed we didn’t get napkins we didn’t get wipes to wipe our hands. We didn’t get plates for the bread after asking several times. And my son got sick because of all of the butter that was in the boil. The broccoli was over cooked and she got my order wrong. It was so much going on we just stopped asking for them to accommodate us for there wrong doings from the jump. We really should’ve never went once we walked in the restaurant and smell of the bathrooms wrecked through the restaurant. If you go there today you can actually smell it. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had after finally finding a red lobster because of the out of business around the country. I would never again go back to one. The lack of management showed today. And it’s very unfortunate to see a child hood restaurant do this after years of experience. Maybe the others are good. But Hampton VA I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I spent $150 and it was terrible. I will be posting it on my food review channel.

It took 5mins or more to get sitted when its not even busy. Chairs full of crumbs. I ordered a steak medium well bacon mac and crispy brussels .. it wasnt worth the $19 my girlfriend had the ultimate feast the food was cold the crab legs was dry just didnt enjoy overall .. the waiter wasnt all that great either but was honest about the nasty tea. I didnt even order broccoli and no we didnt need to go boxes

Kimberly was very helpful and knowledgeable when I asked about various drinks. She was kind throughout the meal making this, overall, a wonderful experience. Coming from Williamsburg it is a bit of a drive but worth it for great food and a friendly server like Kimberly. Thank you, Virginia

I give it only 2 stars today because we had gotten there at 4:45 and didn’t actually get served our main course until close to 6:00 pm. Our server was very nice, and apologetic that it was taking so long. There really wasn’t but a few people in there eating, so I don’t quite understand what was going on. Our sever came out with our salads & bread fairly quickly, thank goodness, but forgot to bring us our drinks. Anyway, we didn’t get the rest of our food for at least 50 minutes later. I was quite disappointed in my crablegs too. Not up to the standard I was use to. The rest of the food was very good. It was a disappointing dinner most especially because it was our 52nd wedding anniversary and we always go there every year on our anniversary.

Worst red lobster we ever visited. Served 1 refill totally forgot about mine. Server didn’t bring out the entire order then the manager refused to take the item off the bill. Asked for the manager who never even bothered to come out. Totally makes me rethink if I will ever even step foot into another red lobster.

Alyssa is an amazing server!!! She made my party’s night. She handled 4 tables simultaneously including ours and did it flawlessly with poise and grace. She frequently checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed for our meal. My mother and I will definitely be back and we will be asking for Alyssa by name to be our server again. Alyssa made our dining experience very memorable.

I just want to take a moment to give some recognition to the general manager Mrs. Yolanda at your Hampton Mercury boulevard location. My family dined at your establishment this evening and she went above and beyond on several different occasions throughout our evening to make sure we had a memorable time. When customers feel valued they want to return and Miss Yolanda made that happen tonight! All of the staff was warm and welcoming and our family can’t wait to come back again! Friendly faces like Michael’s the gentleman who made our favorite cheddar biscuits tonight and an atmosphere like that makes me a returning guest.. the food is also just as exceptional as the service and my kids are already asking when we can dine in again!
