They have been consistently putting out great food. We ordered a half Maharani platter(veg) half Maharaja platter (non veg).
The hara bhara kebab in the veg platter was great, we ordered it again.
Not many restaurants have Mutton Rara on their menus, and even fewer can deliver a good one. These guys do. Cinnamon chicken was rich, creamy and mild.
Great overall experience.

Hoi Yan Chan
We’ve been to Cinnamon Indian Cuisine and Bar a few times, and it’s definitely our favourite Indian restaurant around Calgary. The food is always delicious, and our server Jashan is friendly and attentive.
We wanted to leave a 5-star review, but unfortunately, we had a bit of a disappointing experience during the payment process. I had just joined their loyalty program, and once we paid the bill, I realized we could have earned points—42 points, which count toward a $10 discount after reaching 100 points.
We weren’t informed about this before or during payment. Jashan kindly asked her supervisor, and it seemed like we could get the points back, so she scanned my QR code. We were happy about that. However, when I checked later, the points hadn’t appeared in my account. After asking Jashan again, we were told that we actually couldn’t earn points this time.
I felt disappointed because it initially seemed like the points could be restored, but in the end, they weren’t. I would suggest that servers remind customers about the loyalty program at the time of payment to avoid situations like this.
Update: Eventually, the points appeared in my account, which was great!
I still think it would be helpful if servers reminded customers about the loyalty program at checkout or if a small card was placed on the table. Other than this, the food and service are excellent.

The lunch buffet is good with a wide selection. We went at 11:30 am on a Friday (the restaurant opens at 11), and much of the food was still lukewarm. That was my biggest complaint. Otherwise, the value for quality is excellent. There are a number of dessert options (including kheer made with vermicelli (served hot, this was new to me), rice pudding (served cold), and gulab jamun). Check the front counter, as there were additional dessert options that were easy to miss if you weren’t paying attention.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and there is lots of free parking.
There are lots of specials that are not advertised on the web site (see photos).
A suggestion for management: dishes should be labeled for food sensitivities. I am gluten intolerant and some dishes contain gluten. I believe many use dishes use besan (chick pea flour), which is appreciated. It was nice to have papadum as an option to naan bread.

This was our first time coming here, and I’m honestly so glad we did. Aishwarya hosted us and she was so genuinely sweet from the start. You can just tell when someone actually cares and that was her!!
The food was really good, but the service is what truly stood out. She made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and taken care of without it feeling forced or fake.
It’s rare to come across service like that. Thank you, Aishwarya, for making our first visit such a positive experience. We’ll definitely be back

I came here after mamy years. Food was great. Butter chicken, gpat curry, gulab jamoon, halwa, fish pakoda. Dhai bada gol gappa. Amazing food. Good to back. Its been a while nice to see you are doing well! The server was nice and helpful. Garlic naan was very good!

As a vegan it can be challenging to find dishes that are suitable, so I really appreciated how helpful our server, Jashan, was. She was very diligent and quick with getting accurate information about which menu items were vegan and which weren’t. Her communication was excellent, and she made the experience feel easy and relaxed. Thank you for the great service! Also my date and I were very surprised when the PaniPuri arrived.
