I visited on my own a Sunday evening, arrived earlier than I had booked for and they let me sit and eat with no problems.
I was offered a consomé as soon as I sat down, that I did not feel like so did not have.
A tray with a bit of bread, a sauce and some blue corn-type crisps was brought to the table while I decided about my meal. The menu is varied and has lots of great dishes to choose from. I was glad I consulted my very nice and professional young waiter about some dishes, or would have ordered too much.
I wanted a starter and a main.
The food came quickly, perfectly presented, SO delicious!
I had a prawn cocktail (nothing like the one you have in mind, with sauce: this came almost like a soup made with delicious vegetables, cut very small, a vinaigrette to die for, and succulent prawns), topped with avocado slices.
Incredible.
The main I chose was fish in the oven style, and yesterday was lubina (sea bass). You can choose between 3 ways of cooking. Mine came with capers, mashed potato and a delicious buttery sauce. It was a simple, yet out of this world dish.
For dessert, I had flan con cajeta, which is dulce the leche. Amazing.
Portions are generous. I could have shared the dessert 😉
I had water and soft drinks, and a shot of Licor 43.
While the dining area had a few tables going, the bar area was totally full, mainly couples.
Toilets are on the basement and one can take the stairs or a lift.
The only point for improvement would be music, it was too loud and didn’t suit the vibe of the place.
Everything we did get though we enjoyed.
Maybe we went on the wrong day
The langostino petrolero will change your life. The lemonfish tiradito has no rivals.
No notes.
The tuna maki was absolutely amazing! Best tuna maki I’ve ever had, one of the occasions where fusion food has gone right! Would recommend this restaurant anyone local or visitors to Madrid.
Otherwise, full fish was delicious (although price is for 1kg and fish was 1.3kg). All food was excellent, cannot fault the food as it was all very good.
We will come back.
