FORREST TAYLOR
This place was recommended by a friend so we went by to have some lunch. My wife get the pork chops with a double side of mac & cheese with some iced tea. I had a ruben & fries with gravy on the side. My drink was water. The server was friendly and the wait for the food was short. We both enjoyed the meal and the prices were reasonable. We left happy and will definitely return to try their breakfast menu.

My husband and I First time visiting yesterday. There was a wait, but we didn’t mind. It was packed, which showed us ppl enjoy coming. Prices were reasonable. Portion sizes were fine. I think we ordered the wrong things. His country fried steak tasted like it was frozen and reheated. Other than that, the food was normal. We’ll try lunch next time.

The most delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch available in McDonough GA. My waitress Katie suggested the chicken sandwich and onion rings, both from scratch. Yes, hit the spot out of the park. You can taste the difference and the love. The service is amazing throughout the hustle and bustle of the a busy day. Definitely worth the trip.

The Sunday morning before Memorial Day was a good time to try this restaurant. Located in the heart of McDonough Town Square, near city hall. You immediately feel the warmth of an old southern restaurant. Our server, Ms. Kim was great, greeting us with a friendly, positive attitude. We were lucky enough to get the one and only window seat at the front of the restaurant. The best seat in the house! The restaurant is a self seating, nostalgic dining experience. We arrived at 9:30 am. Families started gradually filling the restaurant. I’d recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a family-friendly breakfast diner. They seem to specialize in All-American breakfast options. The wait time wasn’t bad. I ordered the egg white omelet. It lacked flavor, but the ingredients tasted fresh. The pancakes weren’t as fluffy as I hoped. I got the sense they were “instant.” They weren’t terrible, but I’ve had better. Overall, I wasn’t super impressed with the food. But it was good enough to try them out again. They excell at friendly service.

The food and the service is to diee for. I was starving when I stopped in just for gritz and sausage gravy. I not only had that I had a full meal. It was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, northern beans and a side of okra. It was all delicious. Southern cooking at its finest. I highly recommend this restaurant

5 of us. Everyone liked their food and the waitress was
very nice. Good prices, too. Being on the square in McDonough, there is a lack of parking at certain times of the day. It might be necessary to walk a couple of blocks to get to anywhere on the square.

This was my first time at Gritz and I had a good time. The server was great and had great customer service fabulous!!! Most of the good was good but the Mac n Cheese, for me, was not the best and the stuffing was hard hidden by gravy. It was very disappointing, it seem like it was old and they were covering it up…..UGH
The cabbage was fire, as well as the fried green tomatoes, fish, and the biscuits. It’s worth another try.

Walked in for new years breakfast. Short wait. Sabrina our server was amazing. Even met some super nice locals while we waited. My husband ordered the country fried steak and eggs. Perfect. French toast was great too. Had great lunch selection as well. Classics like meat loaf, Philly cheeses teak, etc. Place smells and looks amazing.

Some of the best corned beef hash I’ve had a a cafe. Comes with eggs, bread of choice as well as potatoes, grits or pancake. Absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful from the time we sat down until we left. Definitely give them a try if you haven’t. Oh and don’t miss out on the banana pudding.
