Fine with me and found a seat at the bar! I didn’t have to wait to long before I was greeted by Janie. I got a drink and ordered. I thought the salmon was a little overcooked and dry but the rest was wonderful! The Brussel sprouts were absolutely dynamite, and the Lobster and shrimp were cooked perfectly.
However the food wasn’t made this trip special it was Janie! Not only was she super friendly and personal but she shared some things about her life that I can relate to and we were able to have a couple really good conversations about life and success. I’m really glad I came in tonight and if I’m ever back I’ll come back to say hello to Janie and eat some dry Salmon!
When she heard I had just gotten a promotion at work, she was so sweet and genuinely congratulated me, which made the night feel even more special. She was just such a warm and thoughtful person.
We ended up staying until 9:30 but never once felt rushed. Janie continued checking on us, answering questions about the menu, and taking great care of us the whole time. She even offered to substitute some things, which we wouldn’t have even considered but she didn’t make us feel annoying for changing things up and made the experience even better. The food was of course excellent and came out super fast.
Overall the whole team made the night really memorable. I even heard the kitchen staff laughing and having a good time in the back, which is a great atmosphere in my opinion. Service like that is rare, and it’s clear the staff genuinely care about their guests. We’ll definitely be back, especially to see Janie again!
The food was amazing, the service was great, everybody was so kind & inviting!
The food was amazing as well!!
We made a 7:00 PM reservation well in advance. Not a last-minute booking. Not a walk-in. A reservation. We even arranged a babysitter to make the night happen. Imagine our frustration when we arrived only to find out they weren’t even seating couples who had 5:30 PM reservations. Let that sink in — reservations made an hour and a half earlier were still waiting.
What exactly is the point of offering reservations if you have no intention of honoring them? Overbooking and chaos might fly on a random Tuesday, but on Valentine’s Day — one of the most predictable high-volume nights of the year — there’s no excuse for this level of mismanagement.
Instead of an evening out, we got wasted time, babysitting costs, and the pleasure of standing around watching the staff scramble with zero organization or communication. There was no realistic wait estimate, no accountability, and no sense that anyone was in control.
Safe to say we canceled our reservation and went elsewhere. If you value your time, your plans, or the money you spend on childcare, I’d strongly recommend doing the same.
Completely unacceptable.
Unfortunately, when we received our food we were told one of our dinners could not be done as there was no romaine for chicken Caesar salad. And then one half of a full meal arrived 20 to 30 minutes after the initial portion of the meal was served.
Why then 5 stars?? The manager Jeff checked in with us after we finished eating and asked how dinner was. We told him one of us didn’t eat as there was no chicken Caesar salad and he said we have 5 cases, let me fix that. We told him about part of our meal arriving 20 or more minutes after the plate came out and he apologized for the delay. Jeff gave us coupons for a future visit, provided a Caesar salad and did not charge us for it.
Jeff recouped our business (by providing personal 5 star service) and we look forward to future visits as this was not what we were normally used to in the quality of service from Red Lobster. Thank you Jeff!
