Service staff Lingling is the best. She is very courteous and service oriented. Get the RM 1000 membership which entitles you to 10% discount and other benefits. Large portions so value for money in a modern Jap restaurant. Food is tasty and delicious. Highly recommend. Look for Lingling and she will serve your gang well.

Thier set meal is big portion and price is reasonable. As for the sushi, is fresh but very X! Serive is good and attentive. If you r a vip member, end of the meal, you will ve fruits n dessert served. How to be a member? Just put 1k into thier account, you will be a vip member. As if you keep topping up ur account to 5k, you will be a black card vvip..as for what kind of treatment for vvip ! Haven’t reach there, can’t said. Hehehe

Japanese restaurant along Pelangi, Johor Bahru.
Staffs were very helpful, courteous and friendly
Most of their Staffs are experienced, so, just ask away . . see what they recommend.

Their menu stretch between 4 booklets … very colourful and informative, with reasonable prices and large selections.

A nice and comfy place for couples, families and groups.

Car parking is a challenge .. so, getting a GRAB or taxi will be the easier alternative.

Reservations is recommended.

A nicely Japanese restaurant along Pelangi, Johor Bahru.

Super Friendly Staffs, Helpful and Polite.

Extensive food and drinks menu items.

We had their 1800ml sake bottle, with balance to bring back

Reasonable prices, delicious food …

The only short of a 5-Star is their overall presentation ….
But, then again … with a more “atas” environment, prices may increase with lower traffic …

So .. this is a 5-Star restaurant, with a modest 4-Star rating ….

Food is relatively large in portion and reasonably priced. VIP membership grants you 10% discount with free fruit platter. Long queue expected during peak hours especially during weekends so prepare to wait. Service is excellent as well and the wait is not too long after seated. Highly recommended but on-site parking is a challenge.

Good service but be prepared for the waiting time. It took us around 15 minutes to enter and they provided us hot towels for us to freshen up. Food was pretty good, we enjoyed the salmon and the sushi rolls. The fruits patter was pretty good as well. Overall good experience here.

This is one of the oldest Japanese restaurants I know of online. It’s also my first time dining here for lunch during a weekday, and not at the usual lunchtime rush, but around 2 pm. Based on reviews, I’ve gotten mixed feelings about this place. It was once known as a very welcoming spot, but recent service and communication issues with customers seem to have led to some negative feedback.

I came with a friend and made sure to avoid the busy hours. To my surprise, even at 2 pm, there were still quite numbers of customers dining in. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long, and the staff was mostly friendly. However, there were some communication challenges, especially while waiting for our food. It took around 30 minutes for the dishes to arrive, one by one, which could be due to staffing issues.

Here’s what we ordered. I noticed some reviews mentioning the signature sashimi platter, which came with a high price tag. As for the dishes we tried, I’d say they were decent, and the prices were reasonable. The portions were large and very filling.

1. Special Maki (4/5)
A set of 8 pieces, with an overwhelming egg flavor that complemented each bite of rice. It definitely gives you that satisfying “Jiak Ba Ba” feeling.

2.Ishiyaki Geki Kara Ramen (3.5/5)
A hot plate with a mix of pork, bean sprouts, and spicy flavors. I’d describe it as having a spicy, tangy kick.

3.Spicy Buta Shoga Yaki Set (3.5/5)
This one didn’t feel very Japanese to me. It had more of a Malaysian Zi Char vibe, with tofu, kimchi, and white rice. Wait, did I just say kimchi?

4.Ebi Mentai Maki (4/5)
Personally, I think this was one of the most satisfying dishes. The mayo and rice were so tasty—one set is enough to fill you up. If you’re a big eater, two sets might be a bit much, though!

5.Tempura Soba (3.5/5)
The tempura was pretty good; it felt better than the usual deep-fried offerings from other places. It was nicely presented. However, the noodles tasted like instant “Maggie Mee.” Wait—did I just call this dish soba? Hmm… Naniyo desuka??

Overall, I’d rate the restaurant a 3/5. Although there were some hiccups during the ordering and serving process, it’s still a decent place to eat. The management could definitely improve on employee training, service, and maintaining food standards.

The spicy Yaki Udon and sizzling Teppan Beef truly stole the show for us at Warakuya Pelangi. The Yaki Udon was perfectly balanced with savory soy sauce, and the chewy noodles added to its appeal. Meanwhile, the Teppan Beef was an explosion of flavor, with juicy slices of meat that delighted our taste buds. No wonder this spot has amassed so many rave reviews on Google!

We came here pretty late at 10pm, and food was served pretty fast. It was quite late and most of the sashimi were sold out. Items were fresh and nice. Price is reasonable. 2 rows of parking right in front of the restaurant.

Came to this restaurant after my dental appointment. The staff allowed us in even before their official opening time. Service is great, from the initial hot towel for our hands, mascot walking around for photo taking, to the complimentary jelly dessert. The food options are numerous, will be back here more to try other items on the menu.
