I had a top-notch experience here!! We sat outside and loved the spacious outdoor seating area and the great view of the water. There was live music that provided a nice vibe without being too loud for conversation. The food was fantastic. The lobster bisque had huge chunks of lobster. I definitely recommend it. I am looking forward to going back by boat. There is plenty of space on the dock to tie up and grab food. You could probably grab a seat at the outdoor covered bar. We arrived at opening time and had no trouble parking. Some menu items may be considered pricey, but it’s good seafood at a great location with good service. This one is definitely worth adding to your restaurant rotation!!

Finally got to Outback Crab Shack, bonus that it was on Lobster Night. The restaurant dining room is beautiful, clean & spacious. The AC was running a little too well so we decided to eat out on the patio. A little disappointed that the Lobster doesn’t come with any sides included, but we’re watching heavy carbs so the choices would’ve been Collards or Broccollini, anyway, so we opted to order the crispy Brussel sprouts appetizer as a side to split. The lobsters were modestly sized but they were absolutely incredible and perfectly cooked. Honestly, they were as delicious as the ones we’ve gotten literally straight off the boat in Maine. We both agree we could’ve eaten at least two each.
The Brussel sprouts are a bit pricey but the portion is huge. The Brussels are pretty firm, the sausage is incredible and the Balsamic is perfect. Loved the goat cheese crumbles, too, and we had half of the plate leftover to take home.
Our server was Hailey, very personable & efficient, made sure everything was to our liking throughout the whole meal.
All in all, it was a really great 1st impression and we both agree that when we’re in the area in the future, we’d enjoy coming back.

Recommended to us by our air boat captain. Absolutely phenomenal food. Even the salad was worth mentioning. We ordered the blackened grouper stuffed with crab. Then the beignet with raspberry and cream. THE BEST and we have had them in New Orleans!

This place is AMAZING!! Food is reasonably priced and delicious. We ordered coconut shrimp, lobster roll and Cajun boil. Inside and outside are clean, modern and a fantastic vibe. Staff is super kind and the kids loved fishing after lunch while we hung out and we could see them the whole time which is a huge bonus for us.

Wow, what an experience! The last time I came to this place was 20 years ago (not sure Google reviews was even a thing back then)… The place is under new management/ownership since those days and it looks great! Food is still great as it always was. My party got the Deviled Oysters for an appetizer, the Outback Boil for two as our entree, the beignets for desert, and two drinks a piece. Our total bill was approximately $150 (with tip). The Jaguars game was on and we WON!!! There was live music on the exterior patio. Service by the staff was attentive and expeditious. The setting of the restaurant was 100% Florida. The bathrooms were clean. Parking was plentiful even though the restaurant was busy. I can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for a good Florida restaurant serving great food, good entertainment, and offers great service then this place is for you. Go check it out!

I was recommended Outback Crab Shack by Doug who I sat next to on my flight to Jacksonville. His recommendation was fantastic. We sat at the bar due to the restaurant being busy. It was a cold night or the deck would have been great. The bartender was attentive, made great cocktails (Florida Soul was so good), and the food was awesome. The 1/2 peck of oysters was almost a full dozen and shucked clean. The fresh fish was outstanding. I had the pick 2 grilled fish and the fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. My partner had the stuffed grouper and is still talking about it. We will definitely be returning next time we’re in the Jacksonville/St Augustine area.

Great atmosphere, amazing staff. Helped out so much with what we both wanted on our date night. Showed us how we can both get what we came for made into a combo boil, and save around 15 dollars doing so. Was also impressed where most places when it is 15 minutes to closing time would say they are out of sweet tea, I would simply request a coke or something else. Instead they made a whole fresh batch even though we were the last customers of the night. I felt bad knowing it would go to waste, but they said not to worry and showed a level above, and beyond for customer service. Also how i overheard them helping tourist from out of town of other resturants, and places to try while in the area was helpful to others. When the night was finished they also gave 2 sweet teas to go so that less would be wasted and id have plenty to drink for the ride back to jacksonville. Summing it up id say they have a returning customer, and maybe a few of his foodie friends coming back in the near future.

We discovered an awesome seafood restaurant today in Saint Augustine, thanks to somebody posting about this restaurant a week or so ago here on Facebook
Outback Crabshack in Saint Augustine was phenomenal!!!!
Honest to goodness, the best lobster roll we have ever had! Huge juicy generous portions of lobster on an amazing roll (to be honest I ate very little of the bread, although I wanted it all but because I am watching my carbs and doing a “ketovore type eating plan).
Huge, delicious waffle fries (I allowed myself three) and tangy crunchy coleslaw!!!
Beautiful deck area overlooking a marina with lots of seating outdoors. Great bar inside and a few tables and booths inside, but most of the dining is concentrated on the exterior.
It was chilly today on the porch. The wind kicked up and it did take a “minute” for food or because this was Valentine’s Day, one the first “warmer” days ever had in weeks, and the place was packed, to get a seat inside, so we sat out on the deck.
I went inside a couple times looking for an open table or booth because I just cannot afford to get sick right now – I’ve got too many events coming up in the next two weeks. The manager, Scott, saw me and said “when a booth or table opens I’ll come you g immediately”. I really wasn’t holding my breath. I thought he was just being placating.
However, he cleared the last booth next to the kitchen that they were using as a prep area to try to help keep up with the demand of the crowd … just so we could dine indoors!!! So thoughtful!!!!
Scott, the manager, was incredible and Emma was adorable and sweet and ever so helpful! They made a very special Valentine’s Day for me and hubs.
We will certainly return and start sampling everything else on the menu. Everything we saw on everybody else’s plates looked incredible, and I saw a lot of happy smiles as people were enjoying the delicacies of dining at the outback crab shack!!!!

Awesome spot to come hang out! We always come by boat & they have a huge dock, I would guess its over a hundred yards long.
Everyone is warm & welcoming, the food is great and the bartenders are fun to talk with.
I always get raw oysters with a side of cornbread casserole. Anything you get here will be good. I am a firm believer of the enviornment making the meal & they have nailed it here!

Fabian was awesome… When you do come in you need to ask for him you will not be disappointed in the level of service that he provides. Anyways my wife and I both ordered the grouper sandwich and OMG was it ever amazing. Our little one got chicken tenders and loved them. You have got to try the corn casserole it’s off the chain it’s that good.
