We went in to celebrate a birthday. I do love that they’re open on Mondays( Beyond Tf for that) Such a plus. The service was great, loved the staff. It’s one of my family favorite places to go. It was my first time and despite wanting to absolutely love it, The dish I ordered was sub par at best tbh. Salmon and fries just aren’t a great combo in my opinion. I wasn’t completely impressed, I personally had better but the service and atmosphere definitely made up for it. I did however enjoy the other dishes my family ordered. I did enjoy the blueberry lemonade, very yummy drink.

Fabulous spot for a pescatarian like myself! And who doesn’t love a Sunday Happy Hour! From 11-3 at the bar. Pictured is their wedge salad, tuna tartare & seafood fettuccine alfredo. Jenni took great care of us!

I recently stopped by Youell’s Oyster House for happyhour, and it turned out to be a great choice. Their happy hour menu is solid and well-priced, especially for seafood.
The Happy Hour Crab Cocktail, Steamed Clams, and Tuna Tartare were all $11 each, which is a really good value considering the quality you typically expect from a long-established seafood place. The selection felt fresh, simple, and flavorful, perfect for a light seafood spread.
For drinks, the Espresso Martini and Blood Orange cocktail were both $10. They were balanced, not overly sweet.
The overall total came out to around $55 for two people during happy hour, which is very reasonable. Service was quick, and the atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a classic oyster house—casual but polished.
If you enjoy seafood, happy hour deals, and good cocktails, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Super disappointed with our meal tonight. The scallops were great but the lobster and shrimp tasted like rubber. The carrots were severely undercooked and the potatoes managed to be both overcooked or undercooked. My boyfriend couldn’t pierce most of his potatoes with a fork. I finished maybe 1/3 of my dinner. Our waitress was very attentive but she even mentioned that other guests had the same issue. It sucks when you’re spending almost $50 per plate and hoping to have a nice dinner. Our first time dining here was great but after this we may not return.

Went in for dinner after a long day and the place felt pretty relaxed right away. The seafood menu had a good mix without being overwhelming. I ordered grilled fish with a side of vegetables, and it came out hot and well cooked. Not the best seafood I’ve ever had, but solid and satisfying. The shrimp appetizer was simple but fresh tasting. Service was friendly and didn’t rush us, which I liked. Prices felt reasonable for a seafood spot. The dining area was clean, though a bit noisy once it filled up. Overall, a dependable place I’d be okay coming back to again.

Youell’s Oyster House is a seafood restaurant located on Walnut St. in Allentown. It’s open Monday through Friday, 11 AM – 8:30 PM, Saturday, 11 AM – 9 PM, and Sunday, 11 AM – 8 PM.

My friends and I had a reservation last Thursday at 6:15. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess upon arrival and promptly seated at our table.

For appetizers, we shared the coconut shrimp, fried calamari, bacon wrapped scallops, and a crab cake. While everything was enjoyable, the standout was definitely the scallops. The bacon was perfectly crisp, the scallops tender and well-cooked, and the accompanying raspberry chipotle compote added a sweet and smoky touch.

For my main course, I had the half pound lobster roll, tossed in rich brown butter and served on a perfectly toasted brioche bun. It was absolutely outstanding! I’d come back to Yoell’s just for this.

My buddy went with the surf & turf, which includes an 8 oz filet mignon, a 4 oz lobster tail, and jumbo lump crabmeat. Definitely a great choice, he was more than satisfied!

The service wasn’t terrible, but it was surely disappointing. Our server lacked friendliness and any sense of personality.
