Scallops that melted in your mouth, the main course and the dessert !
She absolutely deserves to be promoted!! Best server we’ve had in Edmonton. PERIOD.
Our server Geoff absolutely made the evening of my birthday dinner. He brought a strawberries and cream plate for my daughter, the princess salad for princesses only :). We started with the stuffed peppers, bacon wrapped dates and Portuguese baguette with truffle butter. Mains were tagliatelle lobster and prawns, the three boars and chicken and seafood paella. For dessert we did pastel de nata, tiramisu and house cheesecake. Food was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Dining room was lovely and tastefully decorated for Christmas. It was truly a great evening. We can’t wait to come back!
Husband n I finally made it to Sabor. I’ve wanted to come here for quite some time and it was more than what I expected! The service was the best! Cory was super kind, informative and gave his best recommendations! Thank you for giving us a fantastic first visit! The food, oh my lord! Perfection We started with the muscles and claws, entree was the seafood platter and we had no room for dessert lol. The seafood was cooked perfectly! And the atmosphere, I loved the ambiance of it all! If you haven’t been to Sabor, trust me, its a absolute must! Can’t wait for our next visit!
I ordered the 2023 Misty Cove Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand) and honestly… it smelled so good and was so refreshing that I couldn’t stop drinking!
Then came the seafood platter. WOW. The seafood was real seafood — big, fresh, and practically posing for a photo. The sauce was so good that I shamelessly asked for a spoon just so I could drink it like soup. No regrets.
Overall, an unexpectedly great time. Highly recommend, your taste buds will thank you!
The seafood platter was fresh and indulgent, each bite of shrimp, scallop, and fish melted in the mouth. The meat platter was equally impressive, tender and rich with bold, savory notes. Together, they made for a truly memorable feast!
If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience in Edmonton, Sabor is a must-visit. Highly recommended for date nights, celebrations, or simply treating yourself to something special.
Service 4.5/5
Atmosphere 4.5/5
Woodworking 1/5
We had a server who we didn’t catch his name but he had salt and pepper hair and he was fantastic give him a raise.
Food was about 20% more expensive then what I’d expect for the quality/quantity. I had the Three Boars entree where the mushroom risotto was the star. The pork belly was v disappointing (essentially thick cut bacon with bottled BBQ sauce), the pork cheek was good, and the loin was okay. I understand loin is cooked well done because the general public is afraid of pink pork but lead the change and pull it at 140f.
My wife liked her lobster risotto but said she wouldn’t order it again. The scallop starter and tomato salad she loved. The mushroom risotto from my Three Boars entree was her favorite.
By far the biggest let down of the evening was the quality of the juice groove routed into the wooden cutting board/plate my Three Boars entree was served on. This was below beginner level woodworking. Dude needs to throw his router template out and try again. It’s okay we all fail from time to time – but it’s not okay to fail on every route of every juice groove of every cutting board you make sold to a higher end restaurant. See photo
