Social Profile:

West Tennessee’s legendary whole-hog BBQ tradition is the cornerstone of Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint. Pat Martin learned the art and craft of West Tennessee-style smoke and meat 25 years ago in the tiny town of Henderson, TN before making Nashville his home. It became a consuming passion that eventually led to a business when he opened the first Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint in October of 2006 in Nolensville, Tennessee – just south of Nashville. We come in at 5 am, every day, seven days a week. From the sides to the sauces, everything is made from scratch every single day – You’ll never find a freezer or microwave in our kitchens. But the bar-b-que actually starts a day ahead, as the process for smoking whole hogs simply can’t be rushed.

Big roadhouse-style eatery known for its whole-hog pit-fired BBQ, with chicken, tacos & burgers.

Came from out of town and Google Maps hit a home run! JJ recommended the smoked turkey and it’s AMAZING! Definitely ask for the Alabama sauce and get the Mac and cheese!!! And I enjoyed speaking with Chloe as well. Absolutely great staff!!

First time here, didn’t know i had to order at the register then sit down.
Menus are simple and prices are reasonable. The gentleman ringing me up was very nice and pleasant. They were late on my fries and tried to give me a big banana pudding as an apology but I politely decline but I liked that they tried to make it right for the wait. The food was great. I wasnt sure about the sauce so I asked for it on the side. Dry rub was great. The sauce is Tennessee style so its a little sweet, runny and vinegar-y.
I’d probably come here again and would probably recommend.

Great place. You can tell year of work went into the food and the decor. Food was good, service was better. Explained it was my first visit and the server gave me a history lesson on the place. The Brisket is a must try.

I paid almost $26 for beef flavored sawdust. I get it, brisket is hard to get right… maybe next year. Couldn’t finish it because I was using the broccoli salad as moisture to get each bite down and there’s only so much broccoli salad I wanted… it’s a no from me. Sauce was good… fries were OK… broccoli salad was palatable…

Great vibe, old school road house ambience, not so pricey menu and large portion size. Bang on is cheap beers during lunch time.

Were on a business trip to Louisville, went for lunch, got out tummy full meals and also got take out meals.

Chicken tenders were juicy and perfectly fried, Quesadillas were good and there was one house sauce (i forgot the name) it was so yum.

This is a very big place and has indoor, covered porch and outside seating.

This place felt more commercial however, you order up front when you come in. They don’t have a very large bourbon selection either.

Food was pretty good, the outdoor seating was nice view

Overall didn’t have that Kentucky BBQ home feel, wouldn’t choose it again

Best Sunday take-out dinner! The ribs were cooked to perfection, the homemade mac and cheese was incredibly cheesy and delicious, and the broccoli salad and beans were to die for.

I was out shopping at the beginning of December and stopped in there and got the Nachos.I live on the other side of town and by the time I got home I noticed my order wasn’t correct, I called and spoke with the lead,(JJ) apologized and said the next time I would get my Nachos for free. I returned on 12/27/25 to see if they would honor what he had said. J J happened to be working and He remembered without me saying. That happened on 12/9/25 and he remembered talking to me on the phone (No I wasn’t rude for those wondering) J J was just as nice in person as he was on the phone! And I got my Nachos for free, The order was correct, food was Great, and the service was Excellent!!! Thank you J J for Excellent customer service!!!

Fast, friendly service! The food was absolutely amazing. The pork sandwich was so flavorful, it didn’t need sauce, but we sampled the sauce favors anyway. The fried chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy outside, but melt-in-your-mouth tender inside. I loved sitting in the screened in area, watching the sun set with a lovely breeze. I can’t wait to go back!

Love this place. Great location. Great decor. Great hickory smoked hog. Get burgoo as a side. I live in Texas, and you know we’re pretty proud of our bbq; but I don’t get whole hog cooking out here unless I do one myself. Not our thing. I can’t resist going here and keep their seasoning readily available. Marvelous staff and quality bbq. Neat smoker setup that you can visibly see.
