Absolutely incredible experience at this place! I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because it’s a bit cramped in there, but the food and service more than make up for it! Our waiter constantly checked on us and the manager was out on the floor the entire time checking in with all the tables. Even the cook came out and checked on us! As far as the food goes, these were hands down the best fajitas I’ve ever had. Period. Their salsa bar was fully stocked and they kept coming with the chips (with no extra for over a certain amount!). All in all like I said, excellent experience. Definitely will be coming back!

I stop in here frequently with my dad, it’s always a delicious choice! They have a great salsa bar selection with fresh ingredients. The parking can be difficult sometimes as their parking lot isn’t too big. The staff is also super quick to get people seated, even on the off chance you have to wait. I definitely recommend going if you are in the mood for Mexican.

Just went here today for lunch and we ordered the chilequilles. First, our orders came out wrong, we ordered steak in them but they put chicken in so they took them back to the kitchen to fix them and when they came back one order was half the size of the other and they both were missing any meat at all. The food was terrible and cold and they still Charged us full price. This is the second time that we’ve had an issue with our orders and we will not be going back there. They must have new management there and cooks. I highly recommend that you do not try this place out.

Papa’s & Beer in Hendersonville never disappoints, but our visit the other night was on another level. The service was amaaaaaaazing—shoutout to our server Stephanie, who absolutely crushed it. Our chip basket was never empty (a talent in itself), drinks stayed full, and even with the place packed, she and the rest of the staff made sure we were never left hanging. The food was spot-on as always—fresh, flavorful, and fast. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. If you’re in Hendersonville and want great Mexican food with service that genuinely cares, this is the spot.

Go to Papas & Beer for fresh food at a good price. The salsa bar has a half dozen fresh-made varieties, be sure to sample all with your chips. The chicken fajitas with chorizo is our favorite—sautéed peppers, onions, and zucchini. It’s around $20 and my wife and I share it. Every desert is good. If you’re from out of town and this sounds good…go for it!

The restaurant is overcrowded, and the waiter was very unresponsive. But the food! We go here every time we come down. The food portions are large, and it is just very tasty. But get here early because the parking lot gets crowded, and it is difficult to get around. But the food is worth it. Note that there is another location in Asheville. If you come to Hville, stop by here.

Great fajitas. Long thin strips of chicken and steak. Plump shrimp. More meat than veggies which is unheard of. Everything is piping hot, not just the plate like at some places. Chicken soup was great as well. Chips and refried beans is unique instead of the usual chips and salsa but they were great as well.

Been coming here for years since previous owner owned it. I been there like 5 times this whole month and I have realized service really SUCKS now, I been really disappointed of how I been treated lately. Servers don’t care about the customer, they are in the back chatting and in their phones. Even the short manager with glasses was playing around with the host girls, leaving his tables unattended. Waitresses in the back laughing really loud and cursing at each other in Spanish. I miss the old servers who were always smiling and super friendly, Cesar and the short blonde girl (her name started with a Y, can’t remember) they were really nice always giving their best to all the customers. Please get better servers papas and beer. I won’t be going back.
