I’m a huge Biergarten fan that’s traveled to Bavaria and enjoyed the og experience so I’m a bit picky about American versions but Der Biergarten was a hit! The beer was excellent, the server was friendly and helpful, and the food was authentic enough to pass snuff. We ordered schnitzel and mashed potatoes with the gravy and the three wurst platter. All was tasty and leftovers reheated well the next day. If you’re American and visiting please give communal sitting a try! That is always frustrating to see…multiple people turned down sitting with us because they wanted their “own table.” Communal seating is an awesome experience. There was a bit of a smell in the restaurant so I docked on atmosphere but otherwise I was a happy visitor.

Jashin was amazing. Best bar experience in Atlanta in a long time. We will definitely be back just because of the atmosphere and the quality of service. We were welcomed by every staff member throughout our visit. ATL UTD!

Hidden gem in downtown Atlanta. Surrounded by chain restaurants and hotel bars, Der Biergarten is one of a kind. The German craft beer list alone would be enough to make it worth a stop. The authentic German food menu is excellent – only a native German could find much to complain about. The jagerschnitzel with a side of red cabbage is a highlight. The staff is exceedingly welcoming and provided excellent service. Thanks for a fantastic experience!

A true hidden gem right in the heart of downtown Atlanta! ✨ With so many chain restaurants and typical hotel bars nearby, Der Biergarten really stands out as something special and unique. The atmosphere feels authentic and welcoming from the moment you walk in.

The German craft beer selection alone is enough reason to visit. There’s such a great variety, and you can tell they’ve carefully curated the list to offer something for every beer lover — from crisp and refreshing to rich and full-bodied options.

And the food? Absolutely delicious. The menu features authentic German dishes that are flavorful, hearty, and perfectly prepared. Every bite feels traditional and satisfying, like you’re getting a true taste of Germany without leaving Atlanta. ✨

If you’re looking for something different from the usual downtown spots, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great drinks, amazing food, and a cozy vibe all in one spot!

Food and service were great. I got the 3 wurst plate with potato salad and sauerkraut and added a side of fries. Everything was perfect. Definitely a good amount of food.

On point! Tried the pretzel and different mustard – incredible. Tried the reuben rolls which melted in my mouth. Finished off with the goulash which was amazing. Accompanied with 3 different beers that were all incredible. Highly recommend if you’re in town!

Amazing food, fun music, a train in the ceiling, what more could you ask for? We for the family platter, which, as you can see in the photo, was huge but everything was absolutely delicious. We did make a reservation but one wasn’t necessarily required. The pretzel appetizer is fantastic, and when they say giant, they mean giant

This was my first time here. The staff was extremely nice, professional, and provided amazing service.

If you haven’t been here and are going to have a party of 2+ I would 100% try to make a reservation before hand. But I was alone and seated immediately.

I enjoyed the german music playing over the speakers. I also enjoyed the decore and environment they were able to create. They had a nice side for a more “relaxed” dinner experience. And then they also had an amazing beer hall that really reminded me of my time in Germany.

The Food was good. I mean…its German Food in the heart of Atlanta Georgia, let’s not get too crazy holding any expectations. But it was very nice, and they even had Bitburger Beer on DRAFT! Huge win.

I think I ended up being there for an hour, drank a beer, had some Jägerschnitzel with Mash Potatoes…and it cost me 55ish dollars and then I left a tip.

I would go back.
