Everything was very clean. Service was good. The price was a little steep for the quality of food. They charge a 12%surcharge that is evenly distributed among the staff and then you can tip your waiter/waitress separately. We were disappointed that the crab boil was not so much of our expectation but overall it was a decent place to eat at….what brought us here was the fact that they were one of very limited places open right after the snow storm. ❄️

First impressions – gorgeous restaurant but….

TLDR; poor quality, expensive, not worth your time even if you’re local anyway.

I went into the bathroom shortly after arriving and someone had defecated on the toilet seat – it was cleaned off the seat but clearly the remainder was left around the bowl portions and underside of the seat, so staff was definitely aware of it but just not that interested in cleaning it off.

Second, food swung between mediocre or completely appalling. Appearance of the food was pretty good and looked great however -Items were incredibly bland and lacked flavor(the kimchi had NO flavor whatsoever), sushi quality was poor (easily the worst eel I’ve ever had, crab was subpar and contained pieces of shell in the crab salad dish, size of rice on the nigiri was shameful, sushi roll proportions were incredibly small) and temperature of “hot” items were lukewarm at best and completely unmemorable in taste(steamed bok choi was cold, dumplings were unimpressive, egg roll was mush inside). Variety was impressive but for a 38.99 entry price you’d expect to see that (interesting bar items included scallops, frog legs, snails, pork belly, oxtail stew). Desert items were mediocre, the flan offered was completely rubber baring impossible to actually cut with silverware and had flavor reminiscent of unflavored gelatin.

In the “all you can drink boba” section the drinks were fine – but good luck getting a straw. Our waitress snubbed us when when originally attempting to flag her down and later returned to us with a single straw between the two of us, and my partner was actually given one by a separate waitress who we had managed to get the attention of – which brings us to the next issue; The waitresses. They swung generally between uninterested and actively rude, glaring at other patrons and cartoonishly snarling if not on their phone texting. Multiple times I’d witnessed one spilling leftovers and wiping away with a dry cloth, others dropping trash just for another to pick it up. There was one waitress that actually seemed interested and concerned for people and did ask us if everything was okay while we were leaving (possibly noticing we spent ~20 minutes total and got maybe two plates each before we agreed to leave) but at that point – already paid and doubt it truly mattered.

There was notices posted about an automatic 12% gratuity to be added for every bill and I can 100% believe it’s a direct result of the common opinion that there is no reason to tip here for not only a lack of service but lack of quality.

Avoid completely.

Honestly for the amount I paid the food was so dreadful. I paid $45 and change to eat dinner and the food wasn’t even better than what I would get at a $20 buffet closer to my house. I drove 35 minutes after hearing about the free lobster promotion and they gave me a hard time about it. I was with a group of 15+ celebrating a birthday and they gave us a hard time counting the amount of people claiming that we were wrong. I wasn’t amused by the food at all disappointed if you ask me. I tried to enjoy it but it was kind of difficult… as I said not better than your local buffet.

I was simply blown away with my dining experience at Umi in Deptford, Nj. All of the food was incredibly fresh including the seafood, sushi, and typical Chinese offerings. The fact that they offer a high quality hot pot and ramen option is really a nice touch and puts the over the top. The place was clean and decorated nicely, and the server I had was very friendly and helpful with questions. Trust me, I’ll be back soon! Umi surely didn’t suck!

I was looking for a buffet near me that wasn’t ran down or unclean. As soon as I walked in through the door I could tell my experience here was going to be different.
Super quick service, got seated and I immediately started to look around.

The food was super fresh, you can see the staff constantly monitoring, filling and replacing the food. The variety here is really good I even saw like 3 different ways to eat crabs.

The ramen was good, I got an option that was spicy even though it’s not mentioned and I tried to ask the people but it’s okay, the egg was cold but the broth warms it up a bit. Kind of imagine a salad with a cold egg that’s what it was like lol.

The actual food here was tasty, the meat was cooked throughly and had a lot of flavor. I also did try their dessert, cheesecake was really good. And lastly their unlimited teas. I didn’t think I was going to like the mango tea but it was so so good ! I do recommend you to at least try it. There was so many sushi options too.

There’s plenty of parking out front.
Overall I spent $40 per person without including tip.

This used to be our family’s favorite go to place whenever we go to the mall there. The food was good and the price was reasonable for lunch $23ish per person. I don’t like to go there for dinner $38ish per person cuz i don’t think it’s worth the amount of food that i eat. Until lately that I’ve went, there started to charge an automatically charged a 12% service fee on my bill. The server keeps coming to tell me that the service fee wasn’t their tips and kept saying we all share it. Made me pretty confused. I told the server when you your company does this, we will not be tipping you extra. We normally will tip them at least 20% every time we went. We will not go back until this 12% service fee charge is removed. This makes no sense to me.

Its was an okay place very clean and great atmosphere. Food was alright definitely other buffets that I prefer over it.

Variety was good between hotpot and ramen. Sushi was fine, dinner exclusive stuff was good, lobster salad was great, seafood was pretty delicious. Overall fine

if you’re a seafood lover, one of the best buffets, I’ve been to in Philadelphia or Jersey. if you take a picture of your food and post it on social media, they give a free lobster . Also have steak and oxtails.

This place is definitely worth a stop in. Although I wish they had more or rotating sushi options, the rolls, nigiri and sashimi were all fresh and tasty. So many options to choose from between bbq, hotpot, sushi. There’s also a kid friendly section with pizza, fries, chicken tenders. The lunch all you can eat is a STEAL !! And totally worth it

This place is a solid 10/10 feels like a cruise buffet, but even better because they offer hotpot too! It’s a great spot to go with friends. I just found out it’s part of a chain, so I’ll definitely be checking out the other locations to see if they measure up. I went there on a weekday and I sure they would put even more food on the weekends!
