My father and I enjoyed Winterlicious at Pure Spirit yesterday and we were extremely happy with the food and service. Michelle was our server and she made us feel comfortable and gave us a some laughs. Chef Jason has created such a beautiful menu, that satisfied all of our cravings! From his okra to the fish and chips and the pasta dish was absolutely divine. It something I will crave and come back for! Overall it was a really wonderful experience! Can’t wait to come back!

Let me start off by saying that Ben and Simon were absolutely delightfully gracious hosts. Drinks were outstanding to say the least. We went during winterlicious and we will definitely be coming back. This is our new favourite restaurant in Toronto right now. We had a shrimp poutine that was unlike anything else I’ve ever had. For our main we had a stew chicken and a seared salmon both very wholesome and filling. And DELICIOUS. For dessert we had a maple creme brûlée and a opera cake. And it will for sure have you hitting all the notes. Served with a cappuccino and a black coffee , it topped off perfection for our evening. Will def have to go back for a date night or a girls night out . Top tier service. Absolutely loved it.

Came here for Winterlicious ($45). The service was honestly the highlight—everyone was attentive and welcoming. That said, outside of the service, nothing really stood out food-wise. A few of the dishes leaned a bit too salty for my taste.
The Mushroom Pearl Couscous Salad was the standout for me—super refreshing and easily my favourite dish of the night. Aside from that, nothing else really wowed me. For a $45 Winterlicious menu, it feels fairly priced on paper, but the restaurant itself definitely comes across as more on the expensive side.

Had a good experience at Pure Spirits Oyster Bar & Grill. The lobster roll was quite substantial and had a decent amount of lobster meat, which made the $44 price reasonable. The classic brioche bun, chips, and salad were a solid accompaniment. The oysters were fresh, with a good variety to choose from. I enjoyed the BELLE DU JOUR and BEAU SOLEIL east coast oysters with the trio of sauces.
I tried the PEARL DIVER and LE METROPOLITAN cocktails. The Metropolitan was my preference; the Pearl Diver seemed to be missing a little something. It would be nice to see a few more fruitier options on the cocktail menu for those who prefer a sweeter drink without spice, saltiness, or ginger beer.
The service was efficient. Our server was attentive and managed to pack up my lobster roll quickly when I had to leave for work. Overall, a positive experience.

Visited during the christmas market at the distillery district. Very satisfied. Laurel’s service was top notch. Attentive and understanding. Drinks were real good. The lobster was amazing. Mushroom pasta with shrimp was one of the best pasta I ever had in Toronto in recent times. Oysters were so very fresh tasting and an absolute treat. Parking is a little far but the walk to and from is good to buen off some calories. Thank you

We tried the oyster, mussels and fish and chips. We had the opera mousse cake and cider for dessert.
Mussels came with focaccia bread. I wanted to lick that bowl – highly recommend. I could taste the refreshing beer in the batter of fish and chips. The opera mousse cake was not really the smooth texture – it’s an explosive mixture of flavours with coconut sorbet, hazelnuts, fudgy chocolate.
My kids had the kids meals – even the kids fish and chips was awesome.
The fries were not crispy for a seafood restaurant or else it’s a 5 star.
Reservation saved us a ton of time. I heard on my way out the walk-in wait would have been an hour or more.

We came here for oysters and tried one of each plus the shuckers dozen which was amazing! Definitely recommend the trio of sauces to go with them. Craft beer and mock tails were also delicious! Seamus was amazing with picking the drinks and offering service.
The ladies who were oyster shucking made our night too – Tasia, JK, and Kemmi made the vibe; sit at the bar and admire their skills, enjoy their banter, and get their amazing recommends!

Really good food and exceptional place for a date night. We ordered one of the winterlicious menu and one shrimp, pasta dish and all were exceptional. The server made sure we were looked after too!
