Our server, Daniel T., was fantastic. He was attentive and made sure our guest count of three was well taken care of, making my daughter feel like the guest of honor.
⭐️The Main Course: The 14 oz New York Strip with Truffle Butter and Zip Sauce on the side was cooked to perfection.
⭐️Delicious Seafood: Both the Blackened Snapper and Broiled Salmon were incredibly fresh and flavorful.
⭐️Kid-Friendly Accommodations: They were great with our daughter even providing a Kids Lemonade.
• A Sweet Birthday Surprise: To top off the night, the restaurant treated us to a Warm Butter Cake for her 5th Birthday (100% discount!). It was the highlight of her night!
• Expert Cocktails: The adults enjoyed the Berries & Bubbles and a Tequila Cocktail with a 2oz Corzo Silver pour both were expertly crafted.

The food was some of the best tasting food that I’ve had. My grouper was OUTSTANDING! All my dishes were amazing. However, I do not feel that the portions are accommodating, with the prices, and they charged $8 for bread service… what, I’ve never seen that. Our personal waiter seemed to be a little, unsure of himself, and actually interrupted us way too many times as we were eating and talking. I dine out at a lot of restaurants so I know the value of waiters/waitresses and I got the impression that he was either new, or just not really trained well in that area, because it got to be a little annoying actually. However, all the other staff from the time we checked in until we left were amazing, very friendly, very professional, so I still rank my experience very high. I had two other guest with me that felt the exact same way. The cleanliness and the atmosphere were impeccable. I would definitely visit again.
This visit we skipped from appetizers to dessert. I didn’t love the carrot cake, too much icing to cake ratio but the presentation is nice. The butter cake with berries is more my style, I’d suggest more berries, but overall it’s a good choice.
We have gotten main dishes before and they are expensive but really good. If you are trying to keep costs down, the happy hour is a great option. And the bar area is top notch. It’s got a great vibe and personally my preference. If you don’t mind spending $100+ per person on dinner, add the main dish—it’s a fabulous place to dine!
Love having drinks in the beautiful bar first, lots of seats and high tops and truffle popcorn is addicting.
Excellent menu including sushi, fresh fish and seafood and prime steaks. Our 16oz. Bone-in ribeye was sensational as was the tuna. Sides were hot and tasty. There is now a $8 bread service which is obnoxious considering the prices here.
Desserts are sublime. Decent wine list and love that they do decanting service for $25 bottle.
Overall, top steakhouse in metro Detroit.

From the moment you step into Ocean Prime, the atmosphere feels both sophisticated and welcoming. The evening began with a Paloma, a balanced mix of Seedlip Notas de Agave, fresh grapefruit and lime, topped with sparkling grapefruit soda. It was light, cool, and perfectly refreshing.
The Truffle Popcorn followed, an elegant twist on a simple snack. The hint of truffle oil and fresh parsley gave it depth without overpowering its familiar comfort.
Next came the Hamachi Crudo, beautifully presented with pickled mango, seaweed salad, sweet peppers, cilantro, and a sesame-ginger vinaigrette. The interplay of textures and flavors created a dish that was bright, clean, and delicately layered.
A cup of Butter Poached Lobster Bisque offered the evening’s first truly indulgent moment. It was rich and velvety, the sweetness of the lobster accentuated by a buttery depth that lingered pleasantly.
The Blackened Snapper arrived as the star of the night. Perfectly cooked, it rested on a plate of corn spoon bread, Swiss chard, and a smooth corn emulsion, with jalapeño au gratin adding a subtle touch of heat. Each bite felt balanced and thoughtfully composed.
Dessert brought a vibrant Mango Sorbet, a refreshing close to the meal, followed by a signature Cappuccino that tied everything together with warmth and comfort.
Service was flawless from start to finish. Emilie, assisted by Johnie and overseen by dining room manager Aundre’ya, delivered hospitality that felt genuine and seamless. Their attention to detail elevated the experience beyond the cuisine itself.
