Hannys is my favorite restaurant in DT PHX. I frequent there for some of the food and of course martinis. I went in this week on Monday and the restaurant wasn’t too crowded. Great vibes as usual. I regularly order the airline chicken. Many times have I had leftovers due to the great portion. This week the plate was completely lacking. Seemed as if they ran out of ingredients. Looking back at other pictures of it in other reviews its definitely not in my head. Of course it still tasted great, but very little potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and sauce. Bummed to say the least I hope it was a fluke and next time will be better. The price is not worth it if the presentation is like this moving forward 🙁

Hanna’s is unique and different with the dolls in the basement and neon bathrooms on the second floor. The food and alcohol were good. The steak sandwich with the fried egg and sidewinder fries was tasty.

The department store vibe was there. The bathroom mirrored hallway was unique. Dimily lite bathrooms on the second floor. Stairs and elevator accessible. Quick trip to another set of stairs off the front door lead to the basement dolls.
Honestly my food wasn’t that good. I had a gluten free pizza with sausage, onion and mushrooms with vegan cheese. Base price on my pizza was 30.00. There was this small crumbly tasteless sausage and so many gross baby onions chopped itty bitty. It was crazy. I ate two slices. My friend had the regular chicken pesto flat bread, and he said it wasn’t something he’d do again, but it was hella better than mine. I didn’t drink. He had two. service was quick and she was in attentive. Parking is either garages nearby or street with metered parking spots.

It was recommended to us by our hotel, so we tried it. My salad was delicious and fresh, but unfortunately, my husband’s pizza was not a pizza , but a flatbread The service told us that it is normal in Arizona which is total nonsense. We just wanted a nice Italian pizza . Of course, it’s Neapolitan style thin but still not flatbread .

Hanny’s absolutely made our night! From start to finish, the experience was unforgettable. We ordered the Carne Pizza—perfectly crisp crust, loaded with flavorful meats—and the Honey Hot Grilled Cheese, which had the ideal balance of sweet heat and melty perfection. Highly recommend both!

We also tried the Ace of Spades and Queen of Hearts mocktails, and wow—both were beautifully crafted and delicious. It’s so refreshing to find a place that gives mocktails just as much love as cocktails!

The tiramisu was the perfect ending—light, creamy, and rich in flavor without being too sweet.

Beyond the food, the service was phenomenal—friendly, fast, and super attentive without hovering. You can really tell the staff takes pride in creating a great guest experience.

The interior decor is modern and edgy, filled with interesting art pieces throughout. And don’t skip the basement—there’s a spooky little surprise that adds a quirky and unexpected twist to the visit!

And the pricing? Totally fair for the quality and vibe—Hanny’s feels upscale without being pretentious or overpriced.

This is definitely a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re out for a fun date night or just want to enjoy great food and vibes, Hanny’s delivers on all fronts.

This place is so cool! Once a mens department store now a restaurant..the basement now a little creepy with dolls in front of a wishing table could easily be made into a speakeasy! With a main dining area that has a wicked cool Mannequin made of leftover items from the store. Plus, my fav, the elevator shaft thats a kaleidescope! Then you go upstairs to a retro little bar and funky bathrooms! The food is amazing! The drinks are great. The staff rocks. Love this place a must see.

I heard about Hannys a little over a year ago. After seeing pictures and the reviews, I was finally able to go, and it did not disappoint. I was excited to go with my partner, and our server (Dominique) shared our excitement. She matched our energy perfectly and made us feel welcomed. She made some great drink recommendations and answered all of our questions. When asked about the history and attractions of Hanny’s, she was very excited to share where everything was and pointed out the original architectural features still present in the former department store.

We stayed for about four hours, and not once did we feel rushed to leave like some other locations we’ve been too and Dominique was attentive to us throughout the entire time we were there. The atmosphere was nice and moody with music playing the entire time. Music can get a bit loud while there, but that might just be us getting old. The cocktail menu had a nice variety and are strong. The food was nice and fresh, albeit might benefit with some optional salt or pepper on the side.

Overall, a fantastic place for a night out. Definitely worth visiting Hanny’s for an amazing atmosphere, great food, cocktails and service! I would highly ask for Dominique, as she will go above and beyond to make your visit as wonderful as I experienced Hanny’s!

Service was very good with Deshaun, yet the music was terrible the espresso machine was broke and ceaser salad has no dressing. Bathroom no toilet paper, and unsanitary.

Immediately upon being seated we were told certain items were not available that night due to an issue with the grill. That significantly shrank the menu and I was ready to walk but the rest of the party was content, so we stayed. I didn’t see much I wanted so I went with the steak sandwich. Under normal circumstances that sandwich should have bacon and an egg on it. Due to the grill issue both of those items were unavailable. My girlfriend asked the waiter if the sandwich would be cheaper since items that the restaurant normally includes were not included. Our waiter said they would check with the manager and get back to us.

When the bill arrived we were told the manager wasn’t willing to adjust the price since we knew about it prior to ordering. We were not asking for discount because the order was wrong, why do we have to pay full price for an sandwich that doesn’t contain all the ingredients. I would have been fine if the answer was a free beverage, a dollar of, anything. Nowadays customer service isn’t priority. Moved to Phoenix a year ago, was told by a lot of locals to check this place out due to the “vibe”. Checked it out won’t be back. Eating out costs too much these days to begin with. I’m spending my money where I’m valued.

This is a really cool spot in Downtown Phoenix full of great aesthetics, great drinks, and great food!

The location is really cool because it’s an old department store from the 1940’s.There are a lot of cool decorations and spots to take photos throughout the building.

The cocktails on the menu are solid (would recommend huckleberry lemonade)and the bar is well stocked so they can make a variety of drinks.

I think the food is a real standout, the airliner chicken is honestly one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had and the sidewinder fries are a tasty and unique spin on a classic side (top tier drinking food).

Great for a fun night out on the town!
