We cannot say enough amazing things about The Backyard Bar! We held a celebration there after our November 2025 wedding! They went above and beyond to make our after-wedding celebration absolutely perfect. They generously provided our party a outdoor private space with our own bartender, which was incredibly kind and so appreciated.
The live music created the best vibe and kept the energy going all night, and the bar staff was hands-down one of the highlights—so fun, so welcoming, and genuinely kind to every single guest. Everyone felt comfortable, celebrated, and taken care of.
It was the perfect place to continue the celebration after our wedding, and we are so grateful to The Backyard Bar for being such a huge part of an unforgettable night. Highly, highly recommend!

This bar truly felt like stepping into the backyard of an old friend — just to sit, chill, talk, and enjoy a couple of good drinks. The name fits the vibe perfectly. Very cozy, homey, and relaxed, with absolutely no pretentiousness.
It felt like a place where you come for a heartfelt conversation and a few solid, well-made brown spirits. The cocktails were amazing — prepared quickly, properly, and with real technique. The glasses were chilled with ice beforehand, which many bars skip, but it makes a big difference. Everything was done exactly the way it should be.
The alcohol quality was excellent, and the female bartenders were genuinely pleasant and welcoming. There was also a live band playing — a female vocalist with guys on guitar — and it really felt like a group of old friends making music together.
Very warm, soulful, and authentic atmosphere. A place you want to come back to.

I absolutely love this place! The bartenders are so nice and they work very hard to make sure customers are served quickly. The Backyard Bar has great bands and DJs on weekends too. I also enjoy Music Bingo on Thursday nights. The patrons are so fun and I’ve made a lot of friends there. This is my favorite place to go!

All the people commenting about the volume only serve to show you how good of a time the bar is. The past two weeks they have steadily been decreasing the volume to adjust to the new developments. You people must be sooooo fun at parties.
Rotating food trucks on the weekends keeps the food scene fresh. The Indian spot on location is awesome too!
The staff is awesome, the events are fun every night of the week. Not to mention it is the cheapest place to drink in Wake county.
Bring a smile, frown, problem or celebration and leave with a happy memory! Truly a great time all around!

Love Love Love this bar! Great atmosphere and the bartenders Chris and Addy are amazing! Super friendly staff and a good crowd! Come on wednesdays for karaoke or on monday for free pool!

EXTREMELY LOUD! We live at the community right opposite to the bar. The extremely loud music noise travels across the street and even beyond the forest area, its that loud. Our children and elderly are unable to rest and sleep. We’ve emailed the owners several times and none of their promises about lowering the noises were kept.
We will be telling all of friends to not support an establishment that doesnt keep its promises and is disturbing our peace.
Dear management, there are more than 300 homes in our community and at least 600 adults. We are not afraid to continue writing 1 star reviews if you do not do anything about the noise complaints.
Similarly, we are more than happy to take down our reviews when you do deliver on your promise and keep the noise down CONSISTENTLY.

Great little joint just off the highway in Apex. Stopped in with family yesterday for a quick beer and left 3 hours later with new friends and a great time. Good music and awesome vibe. Will definitely go back!!

Olli and Adi are awesome! Vibes are great all around. Best bar I’ve ever been to, great drinks they know what they’re doing. Free pool Monday comedy Tuesdays karaoke Wednesdays music bingo on Thursdays and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Perfect spot to stop by if you need a place to hang out, make new friends or just let loose. Love the backyard bar!!!!
