The people who work here are plain ignorant. 3 weeks in a row same order. same stupid mistakes. they just cant understand an order apparently. Always have to ask for my coffee it is never given to me this is at the drive through . One time they asked if I even wanted it. At that point after waiting in car 10 minutes in a handicap spot I said forget it. I went in today 11-1 same order issues. I will NEVER return again to helena location. No wonder they have an 88 rating. She was scooping food and ice cream with no gloves in. Elbow deep. Don’t believe it. Look at the pics. It is disgusting in there.
Maybe get the employees from somewhere beside bessemer and you will have better luck. I hope this place shuts down.

I frequent the Helena location often, but on this particular day (2/9/26) the woman working was the only person in the restaurant . She was running the drive thru and making the food! Food was still pretty good, but someone in this company needs to give this lady a raise! With all that going on, she was still pleasant. That’s rare. It’s one of the better locations in my opinion. I don’t typically have any issues.

No one inside and was the only one at the drive through when we pulled up. Had to wait several minutes for someone to take our order. Was told they didn’t have half of what we tried to order. Ordered 2 double cheeseburgers, fries and 2 pies. Pulled around and paid, was told to pull up and they would bring it out. 2 more cars pull up, one behind me gets their food as soon as she pays, 10 minutes later as I’m getting out to go in they bring my order out along with the one behind. So the 2 behind me got their order before us and it was lukewarm at best. Jacks used to be good and fast. This one needs and overhaul. No intentions on going back

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. The service use to be good. I don’t know if it a management change or just lack of care for the customer. I asked for milk shake and all they have is vanilla. Ok, whatever I get the shake get home drinking it and find a clump of red hair in it on top of it only being half full. Then I had no ice in my coke. This location needs and overhaul. I will never eat here again!

Everybody’s favorite southern restaurant, at least better then Jack in the box, might have to try that one again but Jack’s also isn’t that unique compared to something like Milo’s but look on the bright side, there are plenty of things positive!
Service: Entered into the restaurant, was greeted upon arrival, nice. I was gonna look at the menu a bit and take my time so they were chill about it, not rushing me at all. Asked for a strawberry milkshake, boneless wings (NEW!!), fries, a large drink and a chicken wrap (also new). They delivered as I said firmly, for here.
Atmosphere: Just your typical old style restaurant, not that many people here but you know it gets serious sometimes when there are more customers then workers, every table has these little cut out thingys that advertise family meals or something related to food but it gets me hyped up for more, and more and did I forget to mention, more?
Food: Ight, yall gotta try this out, it’s only for a limited time too, they got boneless wings now, yep no cap if you are a wing lover, you’re bound to come here, they got different flavors, normal BBQ, kickin BBQ which is like a spicer version and probably honey mustard as well. Their chicken wrap is small but tasty, fries are to be expected with little to no seasoning, wish they had more and get this a strawberry milkshake $3.39 (SMALL) is more then a large drink $1.99 crazy how that works lol but strawberry good, but not as good as arby’s

AVOID THIS LOCATION FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN BREAKFAST.
On 2/6/26, around 6pm, I went to this Jacks and ordered a Big Box 10 piece fried chicken meal, 2 pies, and 1 large fries. And this begins the worst meal I’ve ever had from any Jacks. Ever.
I ordered, paid, pulled forward to wait by the sidewalk. Thats fine, I had a big order. I don’t mind. After a few minuets, my bags were brought out. I check them, no fries. Go back through drive thru, ask for my fries please. Thankfully, I got 0 attitude or hassle, hot fries in a bag handed off. This is why the service gets 3 stars.
These were, sadly, the best part of this meal.
The biscuits: These things were like 5 hockey pucks. As if they had been sitting under a heating lamp for the last 3+ hours to make them as dry as possible. I tried 1, the rest went in the garbage.
The Chicken: Did I order this from a Jacks, or did I magically go to a Wal Mart deli and order 2 hour old chicken? Firstly, I got a wing. It was trash. Nothing but breading and a small amount of meat that was dry enough that it cracked in my mouth as I chewed. In the trash. Next a breast. Again, the outside of this chicken looked as if it had been sitting under a heatlamp for hours. Very not fresh. At 6pm. What the hell? Do you not have timers on your food? The meat inside was also incredibly dry with only the center tenderloin of the breast still had juice in it. At this point, I pulled out a leg, and found it in the same state as the rest. Did not even try it. And now I refuse to even try the rest. Waste of money and time.
Sides: I ordered double mashed potatoes. The gravy, thankfully, was fine. However, in the 1st container of potatoes, about half way down I found a crusty little pocket of…. something. Maybe a piece of a biscuit that had absorbed enough fluid in the potatoes not to be a chunk of rock? Maybe a section of potatoes that were simply left sitting in a pan long enough to dry out and become solid? I don’t know. However, trash. Thankfully, the 2nd container did not hide and surprises.
Finally, the pies: The one I ate was fine. Hard to screw up something you drop in a fryer on a timer. (Please don’t take that as a challenge Jacks.)
Do yourself a favor, just go to Publix next door for chicken. Lord knows I will from now on.
Worst $35 I’ve spent on dinner for myself and my wife in over 10 years.
Do better Helena Jacks. Even the Jacks in Clanton outshines this garbage.

This was the 4th time I have been to Helena’s Jack’s and it gets better every time!! Food and service was fantastic. You need to try it again if it has been awhile since you have been – you will be pleased!

Tried to get a milkshake at 10:27, no one would answer the drive thru yet there were 3 cars parked outside and employees inside. Google says they close at 11:00, and I love their strawberry milkshakes, so I was very disappointed to just be ignored at the drive thru.
