I love the Stinger pizza here, but the service really hurts the experience. I ordered a large stinger and 20 wings (10 hot, 10 medium garlic parm). I checked the food after leaving and I had to go back because all the wings were garlic parm. The employee took the box back and brought it back with the other wings in it. When I got home I tried both wings and then realized that I was given hot bbq sauce and not buffalo. Not only that, the employee removed 12 wings instead of 10 and only gave me 9 of the hot bbq sauce! So I’m 3 wings short, and it’s the wrong sauce TWICE! Not cool. I’m regretting suggesting this place to my friends, definitely won’t be returning for wings again.

I really enjoyed this place when it was new but the last 2 times at the Lancaster location have been terrible at lunch time. The first issue that I had was completely raw dough, the issue today was that I ordered 2 slices with regular sauce, and what I received was a overly sweet sauce that had a ketchup taste to it and almost the same consistency and the cheese hadn’t even melted completely. I hate leaving bad reviews but for something as simple as slices you wouldn’t think to worry about it

Great tastings pizza and wings at an affordable price! The pizza is crisp and not greasy with lots of cheese, great sauce ( we like the regular style not sweet) and crisp pepperoni. We like that it is cut with different size slices actually! Wings and also crisp and delicious! Highly recommend

As a native Long Islander, I am very particular about my pizza. I’ve never been a huge fan of Buffalo-style pizza…that was until I found Papa’s Pizza Oven. Finding this family-owned pizza place was like a breath of fresh air in a sea of unfortunate pizza experiences i’ve had in Buffalo. The first time I walked into Papa’s, I was adorably greeted by the owner’s 9 year old son. It’s no question where he gets his charisma from—the owner welcomed me with a kindness that made me feel right at home.

This place is OUTSTANDING. Hands down the best pizza in all of Buffalo. Their sweet sauce is unlike anything i’ve ever had before—absolutely delicious!! After my first visit to Papa’s, I found myself going back a few short days later, unable to shake the thought of their savory slices.

Now onto the wings!! They are everything you could possibly want in a wing. Big, saucy & crunchy. The garlic sticks are phenomenal as well. Light, airy & full of flavor. Needless to say, i’m counting down the days until I am back in Buffalo so I can visit Papa’s once again!

The food is decent, but the service and building is terrible. I live 1.7 miles from the location.

I’ve ordered from the Lake Ave location 3 times. Each time, I’ve arrived at the pick up time and had to wait between 15 – 30 mins for my order to be completed.
First time, was in the middle of the week, nobody else was in there. They threw my pizza in as I walked in.
Second time, pizza was ready but the wings were still being cooked. Pizza was not hot by the time I got home.
Third time, I walked in to see my pizzas already sitting ready to go, but the wings and fried dough were still being cooked. By the time they finished, my pizza was cold and somehow the wings were also cold by the time I got home.
Each time there is a different excuse. We’re training new staff, we’re down a fryer, we’re down an oven. They offer nothing for the inconvenience, and since I was sitting there for a half an hour I got to look around at the place. The vents are covered with dust and grease, and the health department should look into this location. Even the other customers sitting and waiting say the same thing. Will not be going back there again. Stay away and pay the extra $$ for better and more reliable service.

We have ordered here many many times and are always disappointed. The order is always wrong and today we had it delivered and the pizza was missing from the pizza and wings order. We called and the only solution was us having to go pick up the pizza. The order was cold and very disappointing yet again. We have expressed our concerns over and over and not once were we ever taken care of. I understand issues, but to me it’s how you take care of it from a customer service aspect. Not once has anyone ever tried to make things right.. we are done here and will express our disappointment to family and friends. This is very frustrating and unfortunate.

When it’s good it’s very good , when it’s bad it’s mediocre. 50 min for a pizza , this is not bocce ‘s where they pump out a 100 pizzas an hour . Seems to be run by a bunch of kids who are less than capable but they are in fact friendly and apologized for the wait . However, the pizza seemed to be thrown together haphazardly. Going to scratch it off my go to
places .

Their is by far the best around, they do need to work on their organization with online orders, what’s so far it’s been worth any inconvenience because the pizza is fantastic.

Update 7/25: The consistency of their product has gone way down, I’ve been loyal customer since they have opened and afford weekly, but now it’s basically a crapshoot whether you get a good pizza or not. We have often got pizzas that were undercooked even though we asked for well done specifically. A bit disappointing because their pizza was amazing but I’m not sure it’s worth taking the chance anymore. For whatever reason, recently they cannot figure out how to fully cook a pizza without giving a customer raw dough. I’ll leave three stars because of all the good experiences I remember in the past, but I can’t take a chance with them anymore.

The pizza is very good! We got the regular sauce. We were however shocked with our order of 5 fingers. They were small and cost $15! They should at least throw in fries for that price. Friendly service. We will go there again but only for pizza.

Slice review. Papa’s Pizza Oven. Ordered the sweet sauce to compare with the last time I had it. Let’s start with the good, which is a very small list. If you like cheese, Papa’s will please you. Lots of cheese. This is where my praise ends. I don’t know what was wrong with the dough today, might of been old. The dough was thinner than NYC pizza. Not a good dough for all the slop of sauce and mess that this pizza is. Pepperoni may be hand cut or thick sliced. Which is a preference of mine. The pepperoni had no tang or flavor. Very mild and disappointing. Now on to the sauce, which I will use another D word for explanation. Disgusting. Sauce so sweet, I thought I was having dessert. I felt my blood sugar rising. No flavor to the sauce, just sauce and sugar/honey. I would prefer to eat a cup of sugar vs eating this pizza style ever again. This isn’t Buffalo Pizza. No old school place ever made this in the West Side or North Buffalo. I’m going to give this pizza a solid 2.3, using the One Bite scale. Which pretty much mean that this pizza has no redeeming qualities and you should not stop or spend money at any of their locations, unless you like pizza that tastes like candy. The homemade bleu is OK, reminded me of Just Pizza’s a bit, but of course, Papa’s had to use the wrong Bleu chunks and ruined the contrast of the flavor profiles. If you’re gonna jazz up a Bleu, the Bleu needs to be milder, to not take away from the experience
