The new crew brings great energy, stays organized, and clearly cares about getting orders right and keeping customers happy. It makes a huge difference, and it shows.
If you’re looking for a QDOBA with great food, great service, and a team that’s firing on all cylinders, this is the spot.
The overall environment has come across as unprofessional, and employees often seem unsure of procedures, which affects service and wait times. As a customer, that lack of structure doesn’t create much confidence that things are being handled smoothly behind the scenes.
I hope the company focuses on improving leadership, consistency, and basic operations so customers can have a more reliable and positive experience in the future.
The staff seems poorly trained and often struggles to act like they care at all about being there. I don’t expect much for how much I’m sure they’re being paid, and I’d have more sympathy if they were as short-staffed as similar restaurants. But twice we’ve gone in and there are like 8-12 employees standing around while the kitchen and prep areas are gross and half empty.
The portions are good, but that’s actually not a good thing if the food is old and not well cooked.
I really hope this place can get it together, although I’m not holding my breath, as it’s only been a month and the quality of all aspects of this restaurant seem to have slipped already. Things like that don’t tend to improve over time, but again, I really hope that I’m wrong and just had a couple bad experiences.
Here’s hoping they get it together, otherwise the Qdoba Akron experiment may be short lived.
Then every Qdoba started disappearing and I could no longer get my beloved.
I’m happy to say it’s still exactly the same, and I’m so glad more Qdobas are popping back up because they are the best!
Now a decade later, the tortilla soup is a pregnancy craving of mine, so I’m so happy I can easily get it now.
