FATIMA BLUSH
I feel ripped off by this restaurant. I ordered the lunch special, $12.95. I was asked if I wanted fried or white rice. They never told me they were going to charge me almost $2 for the rice. When I asked if shrimp could be added they told me they were $1 a piece but they were the extra large shrimp. They definitely were not extra large. My bill went from $12.95 to $19.24 and of course the $2 I added for the to-go tip. It doesn’t show on the receipt but I did leave a tip. The salad consisted of lettuce and a few shreds of carrots and nothing else. They gave me half of a teeny container of the yum yum sauce that was only filled up to equal about one teaspoon which wasn’t even close to being enough for the order of food that I paid for. There were numerous pieces of bone shards in my food I nearly broke my teeth on. Definitely my last visit there.

Extremely Disappointing Service Despite One Good Roll

I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. I ordered two rolls, one maki roll that was actually very good, and one pickled sushi roll that was unfortunately inedible. I tried one piece, and my daughter tried to eat another but didn’t like it.

I politely asked if I could switch the $4.95 roll for a salad or something small. Instead of working with me, the wait staff became surprisingly confrontational in front of my daughter. The server told me it was my problem that I didn’t like the roll and that their “policy” was posted…in a cluttered area at the bar where no customer would reasonably see it.

What made this worse is that the server had plenty of time to mention this policy while I was taking extra time to order. That would have been the perfect moment to inform a customer, but she did not. Instead, she chose to be argumentative after the fact. My daughter even tried to “fix” the situation by messing over another piece because she felt bad that I didn’t like it.

I ultimately said I would pay for the roll because my daughter was uncomfortable with the situation, but I also told the server I would be leaving an honest review. She simply walked away and didn’t speak anymore. I’m in the restaurant posting the review as we speak.

Maybe I misunderstood what a “pickled roll” would be, but I certainly didn’t expect seaweed, rice, and a giant yellow crunchy piece of something unfamiliar, nothing like the menu description or typical pickled sushi I’ve had elsewhere.

The food had moments of promise, but the service completely ruined the experience. I won’t be returning, and I hope management addresses how customers are spoken to, especially in front of children.

During my visit, my lunch partner and I ordered one item apiece, never asking for anything other than the food and being checked on once. Once we paid, the staff member opened the bill fold while standing at our table, noticed there was no tip and very rudely asked why she wasn’t given a tip and attempted to go back and forth with my lunch partner about not tipping. She attempted to state that it was required, but of course we know better. By the way, we tip very often every time we eat here. After embarrassing us, to the point where he had to tell her his occupation to get her to back off, she then had the audacity to tell us not to sit inside if we weren’t going to tip. She literally said “next time, if you aren’t going to tip, make your order to go.” to which we promptly informed her we’d NEVER return. If every time we come here it’s incredibly empty, you’d think they’d treat loyal, unproblematic customers better. Mind you, this place charges for to go sauces. We happily paid for what we ordered and despite popular delusion, tipping IS OPTIONAL. We will never return. The food isn’t even all that good to warrant that behavior.

4.25.25 I called in a pick up order last night about 6.30p. my daughters brought it home. The sushi rolls, rangoons, and soups were yum. The worst is the veggie fried rice with extra broccoli. Can you all see the oil sitting in the bottom of the bowl?! It’s overcooked, salty, and mushy! I made myself eat as much as I did…. ….we live too far to return it.

Hasu has been a place that I consistently go to whether it is to dine in or take out. It has always delivered quick and excellent service and the food has always been consistent each time!

I like going here instead of Publix next door even though Publix has the sushi deal on Wednesdays for $5 or somewhere around that. Here you can get 2 rolls + soup + salad for about $13 and 3 rolls + soup + salad for about $16. It’s made fresh in house and you aren’t picking it up cold like you would after it’s been sitting there at Publix.

The rolls are perfectly balanced with the ratio of fillings and the amount of rice on the outside. I’ve had rolls at other places where they are either so large that I am struggling to eat it or filled with so much rice that I should’ve just gotten a fried rice at that point. These ones are perfectly bite sized and are made with fresh ingredients.

Thank you for being one of our go to spots! (:

Extremely disappointed with the food and service I received today. Ordered my normal steak hibachi lunch special and it was horrible. Everything was horrible. The spoon full of salad, cold tasteless soup, overcooked rice & steak, and the soggy vegetables. This happened the last time I went, but I was thinking maybe it was just a bad day. I will not return here. Joyce wanted to argue and stated she would only replace the meat as I was driving back to the store. She continued to argue once I was inside the store also speaking in another language at the same time is a no-go for me, so I asked for a refund. She was visibly upset now saying she already cooked the replacement food and continued to argue telling me the container cooked the “medium” steak past what I requested to shoe leather . No way a container could make everything soggy in 5 mins. I will take my money elsewhere.

I had the lunch special with two sushi rolls. First, too much mayo in the salad dressing. Tasted more like mayonnaise than ginger dressing. For the sushi, I ordered a Spicy Tuna Roll and the Spicy Krab Roll. The Spicy Krab Roll was really good but the Spicy Tuna Roll was absolutely horrible. First, there is the question if that was actually Tuna, then there is the question of what did I just try to eat. The texture was like that of mash potatoes, and it was orange. I know most Sushi places will mince their tuna for Spicy Tuna rolls but this was far beyond minced. My waitress was very kind and attentive. However, when I told her how bad it was, she was very apologetic and just suggested I try other options next time I come in. No offer to replace with something else or partial refund. I did not ask for either but I do feel it should have been offered. Sorry, but there will not be a next time for me. For those who are curious about costs, the pricing is really fair if they serve you edible food.

Ordered takeout for the second time from this restaurant. The vegetable tempura bento box lunch special was $12.85, including taxes. It was delicious! I did not realize this place had tempura at such a great price! It came with soup, salad, 4 pieces of a California roll, and a side of rice.

The first time I had takeout from here, I had the $15 (out the door) Lunch special 3 rolls (Bahama, crunchy, and spicy tuna) with salad and miso soup. It was good, but I have had better rolls. The spicy tuna was delicious. I had high expectations because when i was walking in, the people in front of me were raving about the place. The service was friendly and quick. It took 10 minutes for the takeout order to be ready for pickup.

Will I be back? Yes! Their tempura is fantastic.

My friend raved about lunches there. He eats there at least once a week. So I had to try.
Great menu of Japanese selections. Lots of imaginative rolls. Fair prices.
The sashimi was a good kind of thick and very fresh. The spider roll had a very hard fry on it which kept the crunch but lost the soft shell features. However the overall taste combination was delicious.
My friend had the hibachi chicken and steak. He said it was so good, he ordered another one to go.
Service was very very good and attentive.

Love the food! However, I order to go and EVERY time my food is packed the soup IS NOT CLOSED and it spills. I don’t remember to check behind them every time but ig I will ‍♀️ and face their awkward stares and chit chat lol. I walked in my door , took 2 steps inside, the bag BROKE through the the bottom , and all the food was on the floor! Thank goodness I was able to salvage some. They should use sturdier containers that seal for the soup. Or, triple check.
