Our family liked the drinks which are really hard to mess up since they a simplistic. However the brownies we received were burnt and unedible and should have been thrown away but the owner sold them to us anyeays. The chocolate chip cookies were not good and dry. As a family who loves sweets and cafes, we will not be back.Be warned if you enjoy bakeries and cafes, do not stop here.

Absolutely phenomenal goodies!
I got a lavender-honey-lemon, a vanilla-orange and a mocha cupcake. There was real lemon or orange peel (or coffee!) in the delicate and fragrant cakes, and the icing was a phenomenal fluffy swirl (pretty sure there was cream cheese in there!). They were normal-sized cupcakes, not the gigantic ones you see sometimes, so I did not feel bad when I ate all three in one day.
The blackberry-raspberry bread and raspberry bread were both amazing. They were sold in thick slices, and the bread was tender and cake-like, but not overly sweet, and had lots of whole berries throughout.
I didn’t get any, but they have lots of coffees and flavorings that you can get.
Everything looked beautiful and tasted so good! This is certainly a place I will keep on my list and when I travel around Missouri, and you should too! Even if you have to go a little bit out of your way, this place is worth it!

The moment you walk up you feel right at home. The owner greeted us with a smile and was so sweet. There were regular customers coming in that she greeted by name. This vibe is something other cafe businesses strive to achieve, and you can see that it comes so naturally to her.
The coffees and treats were marvelous too! Even though I don’t live here, I will make it a point to come when I pass through!

Even during these more difficult times, where the effects of covid and economic struggle are easy to see, Just Be Kind Cafe can not possibly be a better example of the heart of a community. Located right in the middle of town, in an old historic building absolutely covered with color and joy inside and out, you’ll find this absolute gem. But don’t let the name fool you! While this place has coffee and drinks of every kind that will put any competitor to shame, the owner also keeps the display cases packed full of absolutely unparalleled baked goods. Be your taste cookies, cupcakes, or a simple slice of lemon cake, this place has it by the dozen and they’re always happy to accommodate any way they can and provide memorable, unparalleled service.
But wait, there’s more! Counter space, table space, & bench space and all with power outlet access for book clubs or laptop warriors just trying to get some work done… and a lovely downtown main street with shops and business of every kind, means that this is the PERFECT place to stop by on your way to see a movie, or grab some hardware, or pick a prescription to name just a few of the businesses conveniently located just a short walk down main street.

Fabulous Cafe/Coffee . This was my first time here, as I moved here from out of state. The owner (and everyone else who works here) was extremely friendly and welcoming .
I had the DoeReMi iced coffee, was absolutely delicious (chocolate, amaretto and smoked black cherry). I also had the most delicious cheesecake with cherry topping I have ever had (also had peanut butter drizzle on it, per my special request). The decor here reminds me of cafe’s I’ve been to in Europe. I highly recommend you check out this delightful cafe, you will not be disappointed!
