Late lunch here with my vegetarian daughter who was familiar with Ethiopian food. She was very happy with her Vegan Combo. Me, not so much. My Qanta Firfir wasn’t what I expected, more Injera (spongy bread) soaked in spicy sauce without much in the way of meat or vegetables. Place was empty but we had to wait several minutes to get silverware after our food arrived.

Gursha is a casual, very comfortable experience. Tables are not crammed together so it feels intimate in a large space and is good for deep conversation.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I enjoyed seeing a large family gathering having a delightful evening together.
Plenty of parking.

Delicious food, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere! The injera was perfectly tangy and the flavors were rich and authentic. A wonderful spot for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Ethiopian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Awesome food! Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great vegetarian and plenty of gluten-free options. Gluten-free injera is available if you call ahead or you can wait for them to prepare the bread. Would have taken pictures of the small veggie combo but I’ll give you the very empty plate instead.

I visited Gursha Ethiopian Cuisine in Roseville and it turned out to be a great introduction to traditional Ethiopian dining in the area. The restaurant focuses on classic dishes served in the traditional style, where multiple stews and vegetables are presented on top of injera, the spongy Ethiopian flatbread used to scoop up the food.

One of the most distinctive parts of the experience is the injera itself. The bread has a slightly tangy flavor and soft texture that works perfectly with the rich stews placed on top of it. Instead of utensils, you use pieces of injera to pick up the food, which makes the meal feel very interactive.

The menu offers a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes. The stews are deeply seasoned with spices that create layers of flavor without being overwhelmingly spicy. Each dish brings a different texture and seasoning profile, which makes sharing plates a great way to experience the cuisine.

The presentation is also memorable. Large platters are placed in the center of the table with colorful stews arranged across the injera, creating a visually impressive meal.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is relaxed and welcoming. The dining room has a warm feel that fits the communal style of Ethiopian meals, where food is meant to be shared.

Service during my visit was friendly and helpful, especially when explaining the dishes and how to eat them if you are new to Ethiopian cuisine.

Overall, Gursha Ethiopian Cuisine offers a flavorful and authentic Ethiopian dining experience in Roseville. If you enjoy trying different global cuisines and appreciate bold spices and communal dining, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

I can’t even begin to tell you how delicious this was. Ordered the half and half platter which gives you a bit of everything- outstannnding!! We got the meat sambosas to start which were good but I would skip them next time so I have more room for the entire plate of all the fixings. Seriously amazing.

Mind blowingly good!!! I could seriously eat there every single day. The injera is the best I’ve ever had. The food was phenomenal. The staff was wonderful. I love that there’s so many vegan and vegetarian options, and I’m pretty sure almost everything on the menu is gluten-free, if not entirely gluten-free. Try it all!!!

Extremely delicious! I got the vegan plate with injera bread, everything was SO good. When I went to pick up, they couldn’t find my order but after I showed them the emailed receipt they made it pretty quickly. So the staff is great too. My only one complaint, they forgot the extra injera bread I ordered, which made me sad because I LOVE injera bread! But regardless I really recommend this place, and I will definitely be back.

Just stopped in for the first time! Great comfort food! Had the mini combo, shared it and it was perfect! The injira is sour and perfect. The sauces were divine under the lentils and the cabbage & carrots. Had to ask for more injira and they brought more!

The decor is a little beat, the bathroom isn’t lovely at all, the windows need cleaning (that would be really a big help to the first impression) but the food was terrific!
