As a regular customer at Spices & Spirits, I can confidently say the quality has always been consistently excellent. On our recent visit, we started with the Seekh Kebab, which was perfectly cooked, well-spiced, and full of authentic flavour. The main course was just as impressive – rich, balanced, and clearly prepared with care.
For dessert, we had Shahi Tukda and Gulab Jamun, both of which were outstanding. The Shahi Tukda was creamy and indulgent, and the Gulab Jamun was soft, warm, and not overly sweet – a perfect end to the meal.
Great food, pleasant ambience, and attentive service every time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

Came for the first time through recommendation after searching for a good Indian since moving to the area and finally found one. The curries are beautifully spiced and options for warmer ones still remain very flavourful. The chicken was super tender as was the lamb. Great portion sizes and a lovely atmosphere. The service was wonderful too, very friendly. Will definitely be making this our go to.

Basingstoke has quite a few Indian restaurants, but Spices & Spirits is easily one of my top three and my go-to spot for reliable, high-quality Indian food. Their Nali Gosht and lamb chops are absolutely top notch rich, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. It’s no surprise they’ve won several awards. Dined here again tonight and had a wonderful experience as always. Consistently great food and a solid choice for anyone craving Indian flavours!

Spice and Chutney is a good restaurant offering decent, well-prepared food in a clean and hygienic environment. The hygiene standards were excellent, and the overall dining experience was pleasant and satisfying.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time! Every dish was packed with depth of flavour and clearly made with care. The service was excellent, making the whole experience even better. Our server was brand new on her first day, and although she seemed a little nervous at times, she handled everything so well. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine.

Lovely selection of authentic Indian cuisine. Loved the upstairs seating area overlooking the local area, as well as the projection light outside Prices were higher than average among local curry houses, but worth the extra, I’d go again

Really great food! Not your typical British curry house, but authentic perfectly balanced spices 10/10. Puts London Indian restaurants to shame!
Probably the best restaurant in Amazingstoke

Excellent food! I was keen to try this restaurant after a recommendation while visiting. The experience is very different to others in the town, which is also reflected in the food. It’s super popular and was booked out when I visited to get takeaway. The emphasis on spirits are a unique touch for Basingstoke, which was nice to see.
The fitout is modern, clean and colourful. It’s clearly popular and based on my food and the service, it’s easy to see why. I look forward to returning on my next visit.

The food is exceptional—easily among the best Indian takeaways I’ve had—and it’s clear why this place has won so many awards.
The quality is outstanding, yet the pricing is well below what you’d expect for this standard; genuinely impressive value.
My only criticism relates to a collection visit around three weeks ago, when the person behind the bar initially assumed I was part of another party. It may have been an honest mistake, but it was uncomfortable and likely influenced by my skin colour.
That said, the food and overall offering are excellent, and I would still recommend Spirits and Spices without hesitation.
